Karen Lou (Clements) Earls

of Conway, AR

January 8, 1950 - March 4, 2018

Karen Clements Earls, 68, of Conway went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 4, 2018. Karen was born January 8, 1950, in Conway, Arkansas, to the late Novis Francis and Geraldine Joyner Clements.

Karen is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 43 years, Danny Lee Earls. She is also survived by her daughters whom she loved and adored with all of her heart: Amy Danielle Earls Thompson (Daniel) and Melissa Dawn Earls, both of Conway; her beloved grandson Matthew Daniel Thompson, of Conway; her twin sister Sharon Lee Thompson (Kenneth) of Conway; her nephews James Corriveau (Kylie) of Maumelle and John Battles of Conway; her niece Jennifer Corriveau of Maumelle; her great-nephew Mason Hadley of Maumelle; and her great-nieces Meghan Myers and Melanie Myers both of Conway and Katie Corriveau of Maumelle.

Karen graduated from Conway High School in 1968 where she was a member of Delta Beta Sigma social sorority, the Peppers club, the newspaper staff, and the Glee club. Following high school, Karen attended the Arkansas State Teachers College (UCA), Arkansas Tech University, and Petit Jean Vo-Tech. She earned a certificate in data entry and was pursuing a degree in early childhood education.

Karen was devoted to her family and enjoyed attending her daughters' piano recitals, taekwondo lessons, school plays, pageants, and band concerts. As a family, they enjoyed going bowling, playing tennis, playing putt putt, shopping, going to flea markets, going on Sunday drives exploring Arkansas, and playing Wheel of Fortune and Blazing 7's in Tunica.

Karen spent the majority of her life as a homemaker but did explore a few opportunities in data entry, long distance phone operator, and in collections. She could utilize the latest technology skills, including Facebook and Google, to skip trace. Everyone that met Karen enjoyed her knowledge of Conway history, love of conversation, welcoming spirit, and giving heart.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to her special friends and caregivers in the last months of her life: Sue Farris, Marilyn Whitley, Gretchen Thorn, and Maryann Cooksey. Heartfelt gratitude is also given to the team of professionals at Arkansas Hospice.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, March 8th at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, March 9th at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home with burial immediately following at Bethlehem Cemetery in Wooster. Brother Freddie Mark Wilcox will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Thompson, Luke Pizzolatto, Nathanael Finch, Clay McCastlain, Brandon Hadley, and Cesar Ramirez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Thompson, Kenneth Thompson, John Battles, and James Corriveau.
