Jessie Mae (Neal) Brown, 96, of Clarksville, died December 18, 2019. She was born July 7, 1923, to her parents Lee and Verna Neal. She was a longtime member of the Clarksville Second Baptist Church. She was a loving wife to the Late Charles E. Brown and mother. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Brown, step brother Champ Clark, and step sisters: Annie White and Gertie Barr.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her one son, Charles D. Brown of Clarksville; and one grandson, Charles A. Brown and wife Stacey of Texas; two great grandchildren.
Mrs. Brown's graveside funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 23, 2019, at Oakland Cemetery, with Pastor Bob Powers officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

So sorry to learn of Jessie Mae's passing. By the way, Gertrude and Annie were her half sisters, not steps, along with Kate, Irene, and Norma, all preceding her in death, as did her half brothers Hugh, Nathan and James Neal, the latter a veteran who made the ultimate sacrifice on Okinawa in WW II. May all of them rest in peace.
