Harry Lee Ashmore Jr., 80 of Clarksville, AR, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 in Clarksville. Harry was born April 29, 1939 in Russellville, AR to Harry Sr. & Rhea (Cothern) Ashmore. Harry was a Baptist and a veteran. He worked in the oil & gas engineering business in Houston, TX, Clarksville Light & Water in Clarksville, AR, had a printing and office supply business in Dillion, CO, and was retired from Sara Lee Corp in Clarksville. He enjoyed traveling the country in the RV and his favorite quote was "A stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet."
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Pat Minor and Sue Durham.
Harry is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda (Forrester) Ashmore of the home; three brothers-in-law, Michael "Bubba" Forrester of the home, Randy Forrester of Clarksville, and Earl Minor of Houston, TX; niece Trisha Minor and nephew Todd Minor of Houston, TX, along with a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial Service will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Roller- Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Eric & Tina Richards officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial can be made to Forrester-Davis Development Center 1000 W. Buchanan St. Clarksville, Arkansas 72830 (479) 754-6210
