Arch Dixon Jr.I am a Veteran.

of Hartman, AR

January 26, 1938 - September 20, 2019

Arch ''Bud'' Dixon Jr. 81 years old of Hartman, Arkansas passed awy September 20, 2019 in Russellville, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arch and Ocie (Needham) Dixon and three sisters, Velma Dean Denton, Colene (Dixon) Snow, and Betty Sue Bowers.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda (Solomon) Dixon; his two sons Allen John Dixon and Michael Robert Dixon of Houston, Texas, one daughter Laury Ann (Dixon) Fiorello of Clarksville, Arkansas, and one step-son Randy Myers and wife Belinda of North Dakota; one Brother Harold Fay Dixon and wife Sharon of Clarksville, Arkansas; 4 grandchildren, Jon Dixon and wife Savannah of Houston, Texas, Brian Dixon of Houston, Texas, Dillon Myers, of Dardanelle, Arkansas, and Zach Myers, of Bentonville, Arkansas, and 6 great grandchildren.
Bud worked as an electrician and recently retired last year from a 62-year career. He was always willing to help people and never met a stranger. He appeared as gruff, but everyone knew where they stood with Bud. He was honest, sincere, and gave most of his life to the betterment of the community, individuals or companies by working hard and getting the job done ''perfectly.''
His Airforce military service was his biggest badge of success. He served our Country from 1955 to 1967. As he would state it was ''12 years 7 months and 22 days.'' Not one month could be left off his service time. His Airforce years established him as an awesome service man and molded his service to others for the rest of his life.
He had a heart for animals. From his earliest years, he had pets such as Rex (Dog) and a horse named Charlie. You can mix in a Turkey (Butterball) and Rooster in his pet montage. He always had puppies and this added joy to his personal life. To name a few of his babies there were Nicklaus, Yukon, Abraham, At-A-Boy, April, Dexter, Possum, and his puppy best friend Amos.
He left us too early, but one thing Bud would want us to remember is that laziness is not an option, and you always have a choice to make things better. He persevered through the toughest of times, and he never ever gave up on any problem or obstacle that came his way. He was known for his love of his work and his problem-solving skills. He appreciated preciseness and the hard work that accompanied it.
Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Dixon's funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 26, 2019, at Hayes Chapel, with Bro. Paul Marshall officiating.
