of Hagarville, AR
April 1, 1950 - September 14, 2019
Phillip ''Jack'' Horn passed peacefully in his home at Mt. Levi on September 14/19. He was born in Ridgefield, WA to Helen Verwiebe. He was a devoted father, grandfather, friend, and mentor to so many. Jack truly enjoyed the outdoors: hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, and swimming in the creek. He loved gardening, canning and farming. In addition, he enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends, learning new things and traveling. He was extremely competitive and enjoyed listening to music, going to concerts, and riding horses. He drove fast cars, motorcycles, and was an outlaw. Most importantly, he was a devoted father and grandfather. He was also a Vietnam Era Veteran who served in the Army in Korea. He was a Boozefighter and a volunteer firefighter. An avid hustler, he always found a way to provide for his family. He founded The Glass Company in 1995 and Horn & Son Construction in 2001.
He was preceded in death by his mother Helen Verwiebe Standridge and stepfather, Leroy Standridge. He is survived by two children: daughter, Emelia Horn of Toronto and; son, Travis and wife, Brianna Horn of Hagarville, plus two grandchildren Taylor and Levi Horn; his friend and beloved mother to his children Iris D'Andrea of Hagarville. Also, one brother Mike and Gayle Horn of TX; one sister Karen Yarbrough and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

We were very grateful that Jack allowed us to create some of our most beautiful memories on his land. Our deepest condolences, God Bless.
The thought that keeps running through my head is "I lost my friend." Jack was an original. I've never known anyone like him and I never will again. He thought me so many things. Jack was the most influential person in my life. I learned something every time we were with each other. He made me feel safe. He made me listen. He made me laugh and he made me cry. He was real. Everything he had he got on his own. He was always Jack and I feel as if my world will never be the same and I sincerely mourn the loss. The loss of him is so profound for his kids, his extended family and friends... and for me. Rest well Handsome. I'll see you on the other side. Much love for always.
Loved this man. Jack always treated me like family and was great to everyone in my family also(pretty lady can ride with me!). I cherish the times I spent with him and his family! So many amazing memories come to mind-driving across the creek last Sunday, I couldn’t help but think of all those times I’ve had at the farm! I killed my first deer there, partied like a rockstar there, got chewed out for not sitting on the stand long enough many times there by Jack(hahaha) and loved sitting on the porch and drinking a beer with a man that I’ll never forget. True family man, who loved family and friends like there was no tomorrow. I am a better father/man for knowing him! Rest In Peace, Jack!
Dear Emelia and Travis, I met Jack through Robert and Debbie Batson many years ago. Friends ever since. He was a genuine hero to many, and he was always aces to me. Easy to like and easy to respect. I will think of him and you often. I will remember him as I last saw him, at the wedding of Lee Batson in Miami Beach. What a happy time. I still get a tight throat trying to tell those old stories. Peace and love, Art

I wish I could wrap my arms around you Travis and Emilia. I love you both and I am so so sorry.
I met Jack several years ago at a local family friends house. My family was there for the Booze fighter's club event. My husband's band was playing. Skip ahead few yrs and my father in law is now a member of his charter and has had a great time riding with him and the rest of the guys. He was always a kind person to me and Jerimia and I will always remember our fun times together. You were definitely a one of a kind person and could be the life of the party.. I will miss you Jack.
