Herla Lee Mullins Sr., 85 of Ozone, AR., passed away Friday, May 24, 2019 in Clarksville, AR. Herla was born August 19, 1933 in Spoke Plant, AR to Clero & Alda (Stepp) Mullins. Herla was a lifelong farmer and worked for many years in the timber industry. He was very proud of his herd of Charolais cattle. He retired from Oark School as a bus driver and maintenance worker, where he was proudly referred to as ''The Old Hippy'' by a lot of kids. He and Flora also raised broilers for Tyson until his retirement. Herla's favorite hobbies were fishing, gardening, coon hunting, and playing with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Dew Mullins (Herla) Yates and Wilma Mullins (Elmer) Tate, and son-in-law Charley Allen.
Mr. Mullins is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Flora Bell (Turner) Mullins of Ozone; one son Herla & Sharon Mullins Jr. of Ozone; two daughters Saundra Mullins (Gerald) Sanders of Clarksville, and Sandra Mullins Allen of Ozone. Six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; two brothers Loren (Wanda) Mullins of Clarksville, and Darious (Wanda) Mullins of Winslow; numerous other family and friends.
Graveside funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Sherman cemetery with Bro. Robert Boen officiating. James Dunn, Earl Weldy, Jared Turner, John Garrett, Jay Criss, and Tommy Warren serving as honorary pallbearers.
