Arthur Franklin "Frank" Myers Sr., age 100, of Bryant, AR passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice House in Bryant. He was born December 9, 1918 in Geyer Springs, Arkansas to Russell Emmett Myers and Cecil Jones Myers. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife of 40 years 7 months, Mary Nell Holiman Myers, and brothers, Emmett Russell Myers, Raymond Edward Myers (KIA in Europe 1944), and Richard Calvin Myers, all of Little Rock, AR, Charles Wesley Myers, of Benton, AR, and sister, Juanita Corrine Myers Wahl of Downey, CA.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Jean Tindell Myers; son, Arthur F. Myers Jr. and wife Belinda of Pollock, TX; daughter, Mary Virginia Myers Lawhon and husband Edward of Lady Lakes, FL; sister, Dorothy Myers Taravella of La Pine, OR; stepdaughter, Deborah Norris and husband Paul of Bryant, AR; stepsons, Keith Tindell and wife Lumen of Shreveport, LA , Barry Tindell and wife Sondra of West Monroe, LA, and Lowell Alan Tindell of Chula Vista, CA; sister-in-law, Nona Myers of Little Rock, AR; and blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was saved at Cold Springs Methodist Church in Lower Township, NJ in 1951 and was baptized at Temple Baptist Church in Little Rock. He was ordained as a deacon at Lake Ouachita Baptist Church, served as Sunday School teacher in both youth and adult departments, was finance chairman, chairman of constitution and bylaws. Active in outreach, he was Director of Discipleship for the church and association. A member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Benton, AR, his love of the Lord brought many blessings to his family.

Growing up in the 1920's, he worked closely with his father learning many practical trade skills. This work experience and ethics served him well during WWII and his 22 years in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Benton with Dr. Richard Grant officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service in Selph Hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 211 S. Market, Benton, AR 72015.

I have fond memories of working with Fank at the Gas company back when it was Arkla. I'm sorry to hear of his passing. I have passed on the news of his death to his first wife's neice in Mt. Ida. Again, my condolences to the family.
