Delia ''Dee'' Mitchell Walker, age 80, of Bryant, Arkansas, died in Bryant on February 28, 2019. She was born on October 13, 1938, in Gill, Arkansas, to the late William Ernest and Ethel White Mitchell. Dee is preceded in death by her husband Dana Warren Walker, her daughter Doris Ann Walker, and her sisters Erniece Billingsley, Minnie Leonard, and Doanie Reveley.
Dee is survived by siblings Anne Hinkle of Aubrey, Mary Lester of Scottsdale, Arizona, Sue Legacy of Warren, and Buddy Mitchell of Scott. She is also survived by her children Rodney Glenn Walker of San Antonio, Texas, Mitchell Warren Walker of Arden, North Carolina, Lesa Walker Murphy of Heber Springs, and Steven Alan Walker and wife Janet Waldrip Walker of Benton, along with her grandchildren Katrina Yezierski and husband Brian, Joshua Walker, Ryan Walker, Alesha Tyner and husband Zak, Stuart Walker, Bethany Walker and great-grandchildren Truu Tyner, Aydyn Tyner, Kiedis Yezierski, and Hailey Yezierski.
Dee was a member of the Church at Rock Creek in Little Rock, Arkansas. She worked at DHS Division of Child Care until her retirement in 2013. She always had a great love for all children. Her happiest times were those she spent with her family and playing with the children.
Memorial Services will be held at The Church at Rock Creek in Little Rock, Arkansas, on Tuesday, March 12th at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, it was Dee's desire that contributions be made to the children's ministry at the Church at Rock Creek in Little Rock at 11500 West 36th Street Little Rock, AR 72211.
