Elter Ray Tucker 75, of Clinton, Arkansas died Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Ozark Health Medical Center. She was born in Texas on March 26, 1938, to the late John Henry and Evelyn Capehart Hughes.
She was a non-denominational Christian, and was the CFO at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital for many years. Ray loved card games and dominoes, books and crossword puzzles. But most of all she loved her family.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Winston Tucker; two daughters, Deidre Tucker and Anita Tucker, both of Clinton; three grandchildren, Drew Tucker and wife Jessica, Taylor Tucker and Sam Tucker, all of Clinton; one great-grandchild, Ella Tucker of Clinton; her sister and best friend, Doris Hughes Chandler of Clinton; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside Service and Burial will be 2:00pm Thursday, October 24, 2013 in Huie Cemetery Clinton, Arkansas with Pastor Ester Bass officiating..

Dear Winston, Deidre and Anita,
So very sorry to hear about Ray. I remember fondly so many happy times when our families would get together and play cards and games. She just made everyone feel welcome and happy with her sense of fun. I know you will miss her! My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My husband and I would like to express our sincere sympathy to the family and friends of your beloved Elter. We wanted to share with you comfort found in John 5:28,29. Here we are given the beautiful promise of the resurrection of our dear loved ones, here on earth, just as Lazarus was in John 11. Our Heavenly Father shares our pain, when someone we love dies. (Psalm 34:18) May you draw comfort from the many loving memories you all made and shared together, cherish them in your hearts always and her memory will live on in each and everyone of you who knew and loved her.
