Shirley May Calhoun went to be with the Lord, Jesus Christ on Monday, October 24, 2011. She was born September 11, 1930 in Sutton, Arkansas to Thurman and Eva Cook May.
She is survived by her loving husband, Delton of 59 years; three sons, Richard and (Nancy) Calhoun of Mansfield, Texas; Steve and (Teresa) Calhoun of Romance; Dan Calhoun of Cabot; one daughter, Alesheia and (Tom) Cunningham of Lake Cormorant, Mississippi; one brother, Billy Newt May of Heber Springs; one brother-in-law, Terrell Calhoun of Camden; sisters-in-law, Maxine Calhoun and Norma Calhoun both of Bryant; Wanda Calhoun of Virginia; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Shirley was an active member of Life Line Baptist Church for 46 years where she was a kindergarten teacher for many years. She had a host of friends and loved ones whom she was grateful for and loved each one dearly.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 27 at Life Line Baptist Church, 7601 Baseline Road with Dr. Don Chancellor, Dr. Tommy Cunningham and Reverend Jeff Dial officiating. Interment to follow in Harmony Cemetery in Sutton, Arkansas.
Visitation will be 6:00-9:00 p.m., Wednesday in the sanctuary of the church.

Sorry sorry to hear about yor loss was my pleasure to hav knon Shirly for many years workjed with her in school and went to cjhurch with her she was such a good friend to me . my prayers and thoughts are with you at this time.
