Patricia, I happened to look at the obituaries on line, from my hometown. You do not know me, but I knew your mother. You were only a little girl when she mentioned you in class. A typing class at BHS, in 1969 -the first graduaing class from the "new" high school. I recall your name as she spoke about her daughter . She e was such a memorable character with her humer. I too have taught high school now for 32 years myself, and I will sometimes quote her to my students , saying the same words she spoke to us...and telling them of this nice funloving woman I used to have when I was in school. (and I put the inflection in my voice the way she spoke, I trust you remember, you never forget som persons voice) ... and she would say to us "you bunch of idiots" . . and we just loved it. It is a little late for my condolances, but I want you to know how much I liked your mother, and when I am done with my career in teaching, I want to have had as much fun with my students -as she has with us. Dr. Mark Williams is my brother, who still lives in Batesville if you happen to know him.

I sit here and look at this picture and realize that she is still as pretty as my mom was four years ago when I lost her. They always had a big smile for everyone.

I grew up knowing your mother and dad through my parents, Don and Carol Heuer. Audrey and Mom went to AC together, and I think they grew up together. I feel as if she has always been very important to my life. Now she is in heaven and boy will the stories be told and songs be sung.

Every chance I got I would try to come and see you and your mom after I graduated in 1967. I always hated to leave because she made it so enjoyable.

She has never been far from my mind all these years.
Our prayers, love, and thoughts are with you. If you ever need anything please feel free and contact me.

In 1977 I began my first year in high school. I first met Mrs. Seibert when I started my typing class and then later with the yearbook staff. There were several memorable things about Mrs. Seibert but one of the most important is that she taught me how to laugh. No matter what life brings me, she taught me that laughter is the best medicine. Even today I challenge my co-workers to laugh about something everyday.
I believe Mrs. Seibert also was the first person that respected her students “as adults”…which made me realize that I was not only entering high school, I was beginning a new phase of my life as an adult. She made that transition so much easier for all of us.

I was so lucky to be the same age as her daughter. I can remember when Patricia and I took music lessons together in the 2nd and 3rd grades. We were both “teacher’s kids” and we started out in kindergarten and even ended up at the same college. Being friends with Patricia was wonderful….. but it even had an added bonus because we got to see more of Mrs. Seibert.

I’ve thought about her a lot over the years and I can’t count the times I could hear her say “you donkeeeeey!!!”
Thanks Mrs. Seibert—for having such a huge impact on my life. Thanks for teaching us such great life lessons.

Audrey will be missed by all who knew her. She had a way of making everyone laugh and be light hearted even in the most serious of situations. It didn't mean that whatever the discussion was not serious to her, but that she influenced people in a suttle way of her sincere humor and kindness. Never one to make anyone feel uncomfortable. She treated allmembers of the AEA with respect.When I say everyone I mean it! Not all in our Association is capable of reaching across the Certified and Educational Support Professionals lines like she did. It was her ability as a true teacher that she taught us all. This tribute is sent with utmost love and respect.

Mrs. Seibert was such an awesome lady! Some of my best hours of high school were spent as one of her library aides my sophomore and junior years. She always made you feel like you had such potential. There are so many wonderful memories I have of Mrs. Seibert!!!! She encouraged me in so many ways. I never would have ran for FBLA President without her. She told me I could do it, and she was right. I first met Audrey when I was a student teacher at Batesville High School in 1970. One day I was asked to substitute for her when she needed to be away for a couple of hours. Substitute for Audrey??? There could be no substitute for her! In my teaching career and retirement every hour spent with Audrey was delightful. A wry statement and those twinkling eyes brightened the day of anyone who came in contact with her. Although she's missed already, we all can remember an Audrey story that will make us smile when we think of her.

It’s been nearly 30 years since I first sat in the back of a classroom filled with unfamiliar machines and blankly stared at the mass of keys in front of me. But just this past summer, when a friend commented on my abilities as a typist, it was as though that moment were the day before. I paused for a split-second, closed the laptop computer in front of me, and briefly smiled to myself. Turning to my friend, I said “Let me tell you about my high school typing teacher.”

I’m no expert on the history of words, but it seems reasonable to me that the expression “roar with delight” must have its origins in one of Audrey Seibert’s classrooms. I am absolutely sure that nothing makes me laugh harder than does retelling my account of 5 high school kids tying a Christmas-bow-clad, madly-honking goose to their teacher’s porch and then running as fast as they could into a cold Arkansas night.

I’m very grateful that I knew Audrey Seibert – not only for the skills that I learned in her classroom, but also for the laughter that will span my lifetime.

Dear Audrey,
It is with a heavy heart that I talk to you this last time. It is so sad because this is the only time I ever talked to you that I was not bending over with laughter about something we had shared. Mostly, it was about something that had happened to you. You were/are always a bright spot in the lives of those who have known you. You contributed to the well being of all of those with whom you came in contact. What more could any person ask for in this life than to know that one lived life to the fullest and made this world such a better place for having lived on it?
We will miss you so much at the AEA and all those special ways that you helped us. We will remember you for all the things you said, all the things you did, but ,mostly we will remember you for the way you made us feel. Thank You, my special friend.

Patricia, I am so thankful for the time Audrey and I spent together the last 2 years. We laughed about the good times, cried together over the sad times and didn't talk when Days of Our Lives was on. We worked so hard on the crossword puzzles every day. I feel like I have lost another mother, but am so happy she is no longer suffering. She held on for so long because she loves you so much.
