Alfred "J.R." Copeland, 64, passed this life on
He is preceded in death by his parents Alfred SR and Cleffie Copeland.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, J.R. is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joan Carter Copeland; two sons, Scotty and wife Vicki, and Kelley and girlfriend Sandi Ford, all of Jonesboro; two daughters, Shellie and husband Imran Akbar, and Tiffany and husband Andy Jones, all of Jonesboro; one grandson, Tyler Copeland of Jonesboro; three granddaughters, Tera and husband Joel Quinto, Bryah Copeland, and Malika Akbar, all of Jonesboro; one great-granddaughter, Evalyn Quinto; one sister, Sue Byrd of Trumann; four brothers Jimmy Copeland of Trumann, Don Copeland of Michigan, Barry Copeland of Jonesboro, and Christopher Copeland of Little Rock.
A celebration of life will be held August 26 at
Pallbearers will include Brian Carter, Michael Minton, Brett Copeland, Rick Minton, Shane Minton, and Brent Copeland.

Mr. Copeland was always a nice gentleman to work with as a customer and I admired the dignity with which he was handling his illness. My sympathy goes out to Mrs. Copeland, Kelley and the rest of the family during this sad and difficult time.
