Elvis Wade Starnes, 50, Mountain View entered into rest on August 1, 2006 in Mountain View.

He was born May 20, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois to 'Gene' Alvin Eugene and Viola (Moody) Starnes.

He was a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church and an automobile body repairman.

He is survived by his mother of Mtn. View; son, Chris Starnes of Sikeston, Mo.; two daughters, April (David) Kincaid and Kristy (Billy) Wicker all of Blytheville, Arkansas; four grandchildren; Ashley Starnes, Christine Starnes, Austin Starnes, and Tyler Starnes all of Sikeston, Mo.; four brothers, Roger (Gina) Starnes of Pleasant Grove and Brian, Danny and Randy all of Mtn. View and a special friend, Ethel Warren of Port Charlotte, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Joy Starnes; and a son, Shannon Starnes.

A short visitation before the funeral service will be held at the church.

Funeral service is 1 p.m., August 3, 2006 at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church with Sister Olivee Watters officiating and interment in Lighthouse Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Chris Starnes, David Kincaid, Billy Wicker, Randy Starnes, Danny Starnes, and Roger Starnes.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
