I always enjoyed John's talent and friendship. He played the piano for me to sing and we sang together sometime. Lucky Me! There are songs that remind me of John. He had a way of adding something special to music, truly unforgettable. I miss John but I'm sure he is having many wonderful times with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you for being a great friend, John. ♥️

I met John during my tenure on the music faculty at Southern Baptist College, 1975-81. It was a privilege to know him and visit his church in Osceola, AR.

I extend my deepest condolences to the Dresbach Family. Mr. Dresbach (John) was my music instructor at Rivercrest High School at Wilson, Arkansas. He was a wonderful teacher, friend and counselor. There are so many fond memories of him, especially during the times of preparation for the school plays. I participated in "Possum Holler" (in which he wrote), "Lil' Abner", "The Music Man", "Bye, Bye, Birdie", "Andercleos & the Lion" and others. He was always vibrant and so full of life. His spirit will be greatly missed and I will hold in fond remembrance. In Heaven today there is new music from a new mastreo. Rest in peace Mr. Dresbach. (Harry Williams, Class of 1974, Rivercrest High School, Wilson, Arkansas)

I was actually on this site for another friend and had not hard of John's passing till I saw it just now... I'm so saddened, to know your family and our world has lost such a rare, gifted and inspirational talent. He will be missed by many of us who crossed his path. In my case, John was one who stumbled into my life from time to time in Jonesboro, Blytheville, and in Memphis where he'd play so beautifully for many weddings where I would sing. Each time we met he was always a smiling face and a spiritual reminder of how we all should live our lives. Your family will be in my toughts and prayers.

My heart grieves with the loss of John. He was truly a man of God, and one of the most talented people I have ever had the opportunity to hear. He was minister of music at West Sherman Baptist Church years ago, I rejoice that his beautiful voice and music will now be in Heavens choir for all eternity, and look forward to seeing him again one fine day.

i went to church with john at central baptist in jones boro

John sang at our wedding in November of 1966. Prior to that I knew him from his work at First Baptist of Wilson, AR. I enjoyed many hours of listening to him sing and to him playing the piano with Polly Leftwich playing the organ. He played at my Mother, Louise Lynch's funeral in 1999, and even though he hadn't seen her in many years, he remembered that she wanted him to play at her funeral and she wanted him to play "Somewhere My Love." He was truly a gifted singer and piano player and a wonderful Christian. I know he is leading songs in Heaven andplaying the piano for God. He will be sorely missed!

Frances, Just a note to extend my sympathy in the loss of your brother. In case you don't remember me, we worked together in the shipping department at American Greetings. Sincerely, Charee

John was such a wonderful Christian man who touched the lives of thousands. I am sure he is singing with Jesus even right now.

OUR PRAYERS GO OUT TO TO THE FAMILIY OF JOHN DRESBACH. HE WAS A WONDERFUL FRIEND OF OUR FAMILY. WE WILL MISS HIM VERY MUCH.

My family and I will all miss John so much. I still think fondly on he, Daddy, Cathy, Bob and Nancy singing at church when I was little. My middle son, Zach, is learning to play the piano now, and John worked so hard last year to help me find a good piano for him. We loved listening to John because he was so talented, but it's the little things we'll miss too. So sorry for all our loss.

John was a wonderful servant of the Lord. He was an awesome musician. My husband & I always looked forward to hearing him play the piano and enjoying his great sense of humor. He will be missed but heaven has gained a great servant. Our thoughts & prayers are with his family, Fred & Pat Waites

I met Mr. Dresbach at a fundraiser about a year ago, where he was performing. My daughter, who is a bidding pianist age 9, was also invited to the fundraiser to especially hear Mr. Dresbach play the piono. The head of the fundraiser wanted her to hear a gift pianist and of course she and the rest of us did that evening. As we sat there and listened so intently she quietly leaned over and asked, Momma, how does he know all the notes to all the songs? And I replied, that he was a gifted performer and someday she could play with out music too. As Mr. Dresbach signed my autographs he wrote a special note to Catherine encouraging her to follow her dreams and continue playing the piano and she is doing both. We were saddened to hear of the passing of such a great man. And know someday soon we will hear his beautiful playing once again

I was so blessed to know John Dresbach as a minister and friend. He played the piano and sang so beautifully. And I couldn't have asked for a better accompanist as I played a French horn solo in high school. He also encouraged me as he worked with us in the Singles Dept. at Central Baptist. He will be missed by so many, but I know I'll see him again.

TO: THE DRESBACH FAMILY WE SEND OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO YOU IN THE LOSS OF YOUR BORTHER,UNCLE AND FRIEND. TO THOSE OF US WHO MEET HIM BRIFELY HE WAS A VERY TALENTED MAN. HE CAME TO CAMDEN,ARKANSAS FOR A REVIVAL MEETING TO MY HOME CHURCH CULLENDALE FIRST BAPTIST IN 2001 AND IN HIS MUSIC HE PRESENED THE PLAN OF SALVATION THAT EVEN A PRE-SCHOOLER COULD UNDERSTAND ABOUT THE LIFE OF JESUS. YOU HAVE OUR PRAYERS. PEGGY FREELAND AND MOTHER BONNIE FREELAND

John was a good friend to me and my family. I have followed his illness and have been praying for him. Now he is with the Lord, out of his suffering and we will see him again. My prayers go out to you his family. May it comfort you to know where he is, and the fact that he was loved by so many of us. He was such a thoughtful person. Not long ago when my sister died, John called to say he was praying for us. Even though he was sick, he still thought of others. May God bless you in a special way during these days of grief. I'm praying for you. Love in Christ, Mrs. Dorothy Jackson

As we enjoyed the music you gave us, heaven is enjoying the music you are giving them.

I did not have the privelege of knowing your loved one, but I've heard many good things about him from a mutal friend, Bennie Carol Wade. Please know your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Janice Brown

John was a dear friend and an inspiration to all those whom he came in contact with. I will always remember him playing in my wedding at Central Baptist Church. He gave so much of himself to the church and the Jonesboro community. I feel very fortunate to have had the chance to know John. We shall all miss him very much. - Diana Davis, KAIT-TV

John will be missed by all. His talent will be missed by people who have ever had the opportunity to hear him. My prayers are with his family.

FAY AND FRANCIS, I WAS SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT JOHN'S PASSING. HE TAUGHT ME MUSIC AT WILSON AND I KNOW HE TOUCHED MANY HEARTS. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU.

We will all miss John, his gifts and his spirit. I grew up in Blytheville while John was at FBC Osceola. His influence was one of many that helped lead me to ministry through music and worship. I am Minister of Music at First Baptist Church, Jonesboro, AR.

I was a member of Central Baptist Church during John's tenure there. He was a sweet and wonderful man with a great love for music and the Lord. He was such a joyful person. I loved to hear him play the piano or the organ. He even played at my wedding 4 years ago. I will miss him but I know he is up in heaven, probably conducting a chorus of angels singing to the Lord.

May 4, 2006 Dear Family of John, Just to let you know that John was such a blessing to me while he was at Central Baptist in Jonesboro. He was a special, gifted person. We will certainly miss him. May God comfort you with the sweet memories of John. Sincerely, Naomi
