I miss mimi

My thoughts and prayers are with Dewayne and all family and friends during this time of loss.

We will miss my big sister tremendously. I am Janet, the fourth sibling, youngest sister. In our family, Debby was the one we kids followed. She was our big sister that loved us all very much and showed it in many ways, including her games with us the favorite was when she played the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz. She also showed us how to make a playhouse outside by sweeping the dirt and leaves around to make separate rooms. She loved to sweep as a young girl! We remember that when she started dating her boyfriend (Eddie Tammy and Michaels Dad) and he brought her home from a date, we would peek out the windows. She told us later in life how funny it was to see four faces peeking out the windows, watching them! When she got married at age 19 and made a new home with her husband, we were all devastated to lose her and not have her with us every day!
As life moved on, we all got married. She would organize all the family gatherings. Our children loved their Aunt Debby, because she made everything so much fun and always made everyone feel welcomed. She loved Christmas gatherings most, especially the Dirty Santa giving out instructions for the gift exchange, encouraging everyone to take any gift they wanted to make it more fun.
Our yearly Branson Trips with all the girls were so much fun she wanted to retire in Branson.
Debby not only was a great sister she was a loving Christian woman. Many of our conversations were about our faith journey, scriptures from sermons, Bible studies, and pray requests. We all love our Lord Jesus Christ and believe that He was God on Earth the Fathers beloved Son sent as the ultimate sacrifice for mankind for those that believe and accept Gods gift of grace, by professing their faith before others and repenting of their sins. Debby encouraged everyone to attend church to grow in their faith. She wanted all the children born into the family to be saved and would share the love of Christ with them all.
My sister and brothers are very close life without Debby will be very hard, but she would want us to continue on and live by following Christ and be strong for our family. She loved us very much and we have lost our ring leader.

One of the sweetest ladies I have ever had the pleasure to work with. She was selfless, hard working, and always took time to say a few encouraging words to us when our face showed her we needed it! A prayer warrior for the teachers, staff, and students at Courtway Middle School, we thank you so much Mrs. Clifton for your endless service and support!

So sorry for your loss prayers and thoughts are with you

Aunt Debby was such a wonderful woman of faith and love. I always looked forward to seeing her and being at her house, ever since I was a little girl. She always kept her house so beautifully decorated, and was so much fun to be around with her bubbly sense of humor and good southern cooking. I am deeply saddened by her passing and send all my love and condolences to Tammy and Michael especially, but also to the entire rest of the family, including my other beloved aunts and uncles. I am so sorry that I cannot be at the visitation or funeral due to work in Austin. I will be there in spirit and will be mourning this sudden loss from afar. We all know that she is now free from pain and distress, and decorating her new mansion on one of those streets of gold.
