of Conway, AR
October 21, 1949 - August 3, 2019
Brenda Joann (Sebourn) Thompson, 69, died peacefully Saturday, August 3, 2019, in Conway, Arkansas. She was born on October 21, 1949, in England, Arkansas, by a midwife over the England movie theater as a parade passed through the streets below.
Brenda was a farmer's daughter who lived from Arkansas to California. Her family moved frequently with rarely a chance to make long-lasting friendships. When Brenda was around five years old, she was struck with polio and fought back to become a healthy, smart, amazing woman. In her early 60's Brenda began showing signs of Alzheimer's. She worked hard at living her life independently with this diagnosis. During the past year Brenda was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia, which progressed swiftly over the past 6 months.
Brenda was an amazing mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend. She was beautiful, smart, elegant, refined and kind. She loved being a Grandmama and took that job seriously! Her family is comforted in knowing that Brenda is now at peace with no confusion, frustration or sadness.
Brenda is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Ray Thompson; granddaughter, Kaitlyn (Katie) Ford; sister, Rebecca "Becky" Sebourn and her parents, Daniel Junior Sebourn and Laura M. Sebourn.
Brenda is survived by her sister, Carolyn Sue Sebourn; brother, Ronald Daniel "Danny" Sebourn; son, Larry Thompson and grandson Justin Thompson; daughter, Michelle Thompson Ford (David) and grandson, Case Ford; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Roller-McNutt Funeral home in Conway, Arkansas. Funeral service will be a small graveside service at Old Liberty Cemetery in Conway on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at 10:00a.m.
