Fanny O. Cash

of Batesville, AR

January 9, 1914 - November 5, 2005

Fanny O. Cash, 91, of Batesville passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2005 at Wood-Lawn Nursing.

She was born on January 9, 1914, the daughter of the late William Monroe Ballard and Laura Victoria (Hill) Ballard and lived her entire life in Batesville. She was very dedicated to her family and was a beautician and had a large family of clients. Before she was a licensed beautician, her clients would put money in a can so Trula, her daughter, could take piano lessons. She went to beauty school at the age of 40 and worked out of her house until the age of 75. She loved to read books, especially mystery novels. Fanny loved her pet poodles, Tags & Prissy, and had them for 25 years. At the age of 65, Fanny traveled to the Grand Canyon and rode a mule and would not get off of it for fear of not being able to get back on the mule. She was a member of the West Baptist Church since 1927 and was baptized in what was then the "new" building.

Fanny is survived by two sons: Bill Cash of Batesville and Clarence Cash of Little Rock; and one daughter: Trula Pectol of Batesville. She is also survived by three grandsons: Bill Cash, Jr., Jerry Pectol, Jr. and Walden Cash; and eight granddaughters: Joangelia Westmoreland, Janice Benton, Laura Covington, Connie Cash, Carrie Aquino, Vanessa Cash, Elisa Cash and Josy Cash. Her thirteen great-grandsons and great-granddaughters, Joshua Cash, Wesley Westmoreland, Wade Westmoreland, Griggs Covington, Cash Covington, Andrew Cash, Austin Aquino, Addison Aquino, Avery Aquino, Pamela DeGolyer, Meghan Pectol, Lydia Cash and Molly Cash also survive her. Other survivors include her nieces and nephews, Maylene Hatfield, Don Paul Morgan, Lonnie Morgan, Larry Morgan, Ted Ballard, Greg Ballard, Janice Ballard, Barry Ballard, and Gerald Ballard.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence W. Cash; a daughter, Betty Bohannan; a grandson, Bubba Sturch; six brothers and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be Bill Cash, Jr., Jerry Pectol, Jr., Walden Cash, Wade Westmoreland, Griggs Covington, Joshua Cash, Joangelia Westmoreland, Janice Benton, Laura Covington, Connie Cash, Carrie Aquino, Vanessa Cash, Elisa Cash, Josy Cash, and Pamela DeGolyer.

Honorary pallbearers will be W.E. Campbell, N. E. Johnston, Clayburn Ford, Dale Broadwater and Dr. Robert Walton.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at West Baptist Church with Brother Bob Dailey officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday.

Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville. (870) 793-4161.

Memorials may be made to the West Baptist Church Building Fund, 1100 N. Main Street, Batesville, AR 72501.
