Had just returned from overseas at the time of his passing, found out.only today. The world has lost a truly warm and dear man who likely was friends with everyone he met. Miss you, Michael.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Dr Pohlkamp. He had been my dentist for nearly ten years and was highly professional and skilled in everything he did with respect to my oral care. More than anything else, he was a terrifically nice man and would always engage me in conversation about college football (he forgave the fact that I was an Ole Miss graduate and fan) and the latest rock'n'roll concerts I had attended. He always had great music playing in his office (Pretenders, Led Zeppelin, Warren Zevon, Tom Petty, etc.). He will be sorely missed. My condolences to his family.

I just learned of this unbelievable news of Dr. Pohlkamp's passing a month ago from a dentist-friend of mine. What a wonderful dentist, father, husband and friend he was. I have been his patient for as long as I can remember, and I always looked forward to our visits as he had so many interesting stories and topics to talk about. My deepest condolences go out to his family, staff, friends, and patients that will miss him as I will.

I just found out about Dr. Pohlkamp! My heart is so heavy. He was my dentist and a great one, he was so personable and caring. My prayers are with his wife and son. May God continue to give you strength as your heart heals.

I've just learned of this devastating news. I wanted to offer my condolences to Dr. Pohlkamp's family. I've been his patient only a few years but I saw immediately how caring, friendly, and personable he was. We always talked about the hogs with each visit. I always looked forward to my appointments because of him and his staff.

To the family, Dr. Pohlkamp was an awesome guy, with a wonderful sense of humor. I am in total disbelief and shock! He will be greatly missed! You have my deepest condolences.

This is such a sudden and tragic loss. My heart goes out to the entire Pohlkamp family. I have know Mike since high school and have been his patient for 22 years. He is the dentist my children grew up with as well. His patience, kindness and true caring way of making you feel at ease made him a great dentist. This only came from his genuine and caring heart as a person. You will be truly missed. Hearts and prayers to the family.

Our hearts were very sad to hear about the passing of Dr. Pohlkamp. He was the best dentist we ever had--nice, caring--just an exceptional dentist in every way. He had a fantastic staff too who reflected his personality.. We will miss him and our prayers definitely go out to you and your family. May God be ever near you during this difficult time.

My wife Karen and I have been patients of Dr. Pohlkamp for over 16 years, and we are deeply saddened by his passing. I had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Pohlkamp as not only patient, but also as a friend and employer. Dr. Pohlkamp hired me right after college and his mentorship was one of the most invaluable experiences of my life. While he was certainly an extraordinary dentist, the relationships he formed with his patients greatly transcended his work. Where many dentists have patients, Dr. Pohlkamp had friends. His ability to engage in conversation and effortlessly connect on a personal level was truly something to behold. This fact, among many others, give great testament to his one-of-a-kind personality. I’m honored to have called Dr. P a friend and know that he will forever live on through the impact he had to so many of us.
While his passing is truly tragic, there is great comfort to be gained in the knowledge that Dr. P will continue to share his jovial spirit with others in the presence of our heavenly father. Michelle, Ryan, and the rest of the Pohlkamp family – I offer my deepest condolences, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.

You can not say enough good things about this man. He was the best dentist to me and my kids for over twenty years and a great guy. Always had wonderful conversation, he shared a lot of joy and humor. (also loved the classic rock music he played in his office). We will miss you.
May the Lord be present and comfort his family at this most unbelievable time.

Michelle & Ryan,
We are so sorry to hear about Mike, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Mike was a very special person to Ken & I, will never forget when he was our photographer for our wedding. Heaven gained a wonderful angel.

I have been a patient of Dr. Pohlkamp since he started practicing Dentistry. My mother, my sister, and I remember when he started out with his office in the Doctor's Building. That's when I was 12 or 13 years old. I have been a patient and friend, every since. I am a Catholic High Graduate, a hunter, and a fisherman, just as the "Ole Doc" as I call him. We did "life together". That started 25 years ago. I can't tell you how much impact that he has had on me and my sister's lives. He wasn't just a doctor but a true friend. He has always been a mentor who has given great direction and advise throughout by life. Less of a doctor, and more of a caring friend and confidant!!! He will be greatly missed on this earth. He was so proud of his family! I can't even tell you about the hunting, fishing, life, etc. conversations we had. Dr. Pohlkamp was a bright spot in my life and this world. He is, always has been, and always will be, one of my FAVORITE PEOPLE!!! This temporary separation from such a GREAT MAN is heartbreaking! Michael Pohlkamp was not only my dentist, but a true friend that I love!!! Prayers to his Family!!!

We are so sorry for your loss. Such a great guy and we are praying for your family in this time of great sorrow.

To Dr. Pohlkamp's family and dental staff, we are so sorry for your loss! We have known Dr. Pohlkamp for 10+ years and considered him a friend because of his compassion and love for his job and patients! We always enjoyed listening to his fishing stories and his hunting success stories as well! We will miss him and we know it will be hard for all of you to not see his smiling face everyday! God has welcomed a good man into his heavenly home and be reassured you will see him again! He was a good man, loved his wife, and adored his son! He will be greatly missed! We will continue to pray for his family and staff! With deepest sympathy, Beau and Rena Pederson

Michelle, Ryan and family,

Michelle,
We are heartbroken. It was hard for us to get the news from Joe yesterday. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Ryan and all the families affected by Mike's unexpected passing.
Mike wasn't just the brother of our neighbors, Joe and Pam, he was also our dentist from the first moment he began his practice so many years ago. We couldn't go to anyone else even after we moved to Hot Springs. Even more than his talent, we thought of him as an exceptional person who had a passion for his family as well the outdoors. We loved hearing the latest family news as well as his fishing stories. He was an exceptional man and will be missed for many years to come by so many people.

Dear Michelle, Ryan and family,
I used Michael for many years when I lived in Little Rock, and he was the best dentist I've ever known. My youngest son still used him, and we are both crushed at Michael's loss. I always loved the Escher print on the ceiling, particularly with nitrous oxide involved. Michael was always cheerful, and there was nobody better with a needle. Many prayers are with each of you.
