Brother McKay was guiding beacon to so many of us during our time at UCA. He brought me to truly know God in my daily life and not just on Sunday at the Wesley foundation. He just was wonderful about applying Gods words to everyday life. We all had such a good time, too! Bonnie, I know you and your family will miss him so much and my thoughts and prayers are with you-ann

To the entire McKay family, thank you for the many years you shared Jim with us at Salem UMC. He had such a great impact on so many of us in growing our faith through his simple, yet profound messages. The poetry with which he delivered these messages was unlike any other we've ever heard, and was truly spirit filled. Our hearts and prayers are with you in your earthly loss. Yet, we know he is rejoicing at Jesus' feet this day. Blessings for the family.

Dear Bonnie & Family,
Ann & I remember Jim fondly from our days at A. S. C. I was a Sig Ep bother and Ann was our Queen of Hearts one year. Would have been good to have re-connected after college. We miss all the guys and gals from those very special days.
As you know Jim was a great guy. I didn't know he had had a career in the ministry.
God bless you all in these days. Love in Christ

There are not enough words to describe Brother Jim and the legacy he leaves behind. The love he had for God and the people around him was amazing. I will always treasure every word, tear, look, remarks, joke, laugh, lesson, scripture, stories, advice, kindness and the love he shared with me over the past 36 years. Those blue eyes held so much love yet had the power to speak. Hardly a day goes by when I don't think of something about him and his wisdom, words or wit that has impacted my life.

Thank you so much for sharing your husband with the thousands of students at Wesley Foundation over the many years. Because we knew him, and how he always pointed us to Him, we were changed forever.

My love and prayers for peace are with you Bonnie, and your precious family.

Mrs. McKay,
My heart just sunk when I turned the corner Tuesday morning & his hospital bed was empty! My heart goes out to you during this difficult time. I enjoyed taking care of Mr. McKay Monday. Even though he was sick, he was still such a pleasure to be around. Your family was the most appreciative. May God be with you! Leslie (RN)
