of Little Rock, AR
April 23, 1986 - April 2, 2015
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away (known as Little Rock, Arkansas) …
On April 23, 1986, a Jedi Master was born. Dr. Alex Scott Neville had a lifelong love affair with Pepsi, video games, and his soulmate of 12 years, Madison. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Alex: When the lifeguard says no more cannon-balls, what he actually means is one more; in most circumstances the game of Mad Gab requires ruthless intent; and that there is never an inappropriate time to tell a joke.
Now, at the age of 28, we say goodbye to our Halloween loving friend as he answers the call given to him by his Maker. Alex was welcomed into his eternal galaxy on Thursday, April 2, 2015. His spirit is carried on by his wife Madison Mills Neville, his two sons Lawson Scott and Camden Alex, and an extended squadron of family and friends from every walk of life.
Alex was a fun-loving kid that mainly tried to escape the terror that comes from three older siblings. Raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he grew in a home of compassion and love. At the age of 14 he met the concession stand girl of his dreams when he purchased a hotdog from Madison, but what she really sold him was a life of devotion. Alex was most happy while spending time with his son, Lawson. They enjoyed any outdoor activity but especially chasing around Alex and Madison's first "kids" fur-pups Scooter and Duke.
In addition to his wife and sons, Alex is survived by his parents David and Peggy Neville; sister Trina (Brendan) Rowlands; brothers Erik (Andrea) Neville and Jason (Amber) Neville; grandparents Robert and Joyce Ringer; and nieces and nephews Callie, Anna, Peyten, Ellery, Samuel, Parker, Weston, and Paxton. He leaves love to his wonderfully large extended family.
He is preceded in death by grandparents Dee Jay and Marget Neville.
With only 2 months left of pediatric residency, Alex planned to carry out his life's dream as a pediatrician. Alex would love for all family and friends to carry out his mission of loving and caring for the little ones of the world, especially the under-privileged children that so many times filled his heart with joy.
We invite you to share in the celebration of Alex's life! Visitation will be held from
6:00 8:00PM on Wednesday, April 8. Funeral service will be at 10:00AM on Thursday, April 9. Both will be held at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Alex's name to the Chron's and Colitis Foundation of America. https://fundraise.ccfa.org/Neville
The family sends our gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support, and sends this one final message to our beloved: The Force will be with you, always.
A life dedicated to serve others and commit to caring for children is a true calling. A pediatrician must have compassion, patience and love for his patients and families - Alex had all these qualities and much much more. He will be forever missed by his family, friends and colleagues. Praying for peace, mercy and grace to Madison and her precious boys.
Madison, Sharon, Randy, and all of the families who loved Alex dearly--please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers through this most difficult time. ~~~ May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Peggy, my heart goes out to you and your family. Alex was just a phenomenal person in every way, even as a child in elementary school. I am praying for you and am so thankful that you have his beautiful sons to light your lives in this dark time. You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family at this difficult time. There is no hurt that out Lord and Savior can't heal. Just know Alex is in a better place.

Madison, I am so sorry for this unimaginable loss. I'm praying for you...for Lawson and for Camden and for all of your family. I know that no words or actions can ease this pain. So I'm praying that God continually comforts you and your boys.
Madison, my heart is breaking for you and your sweet boys. But I have to admit that the obituary brought a smile to my face! Just as Alex was able to do. Once, our youth group went to a nursing home for a service project. Among the many things we did was put on a skit where he enthusiastically danced to and sang along with a track of "Elvira" by the Oak Ridge Boys! It was great! We lost touch after I graduated high school but every time I hear that song I think of him!
You and the entire Neville family will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
I am truly disheartened by the news of Alex's passing. I pray for comfort for Madison and the children, as well as your family. I first met Alex and Madison through my best friend and fellow photographer Gwen Stanley Armbrust. I assisted in photographing their engagement photos, next were the bridals, and then the wedding. They were such a great couple and I truly enjoyed being a part of their special day. I will never forget it either because I was almost run over by the horse and carriage. I said all of that to say this, Alex will always live in Madison's heart until the Lord calls her home to be with her husband. I pray God's arms comfort you all until that day, and memories such as mine remind us of a forever friend. God bless.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Neville Family. Sorry for your loss.
So sorry for your loss. May God bless and comfort you during this difficult time.

I remember Alex so well ... that youngest Neville in my English class in seventh grade at Fuller Junior High. Such a smart young man. Good memories & forever a part of our lives. My deepest sympathies to all of the Neville family.
Alex was a tremendous person, role model, and someone I am lucky to have known. His smile, wit, and friendly demeanor made him a great person to be around and brought him many friends at Central Arkansas. My thoughts go out to Madison, their families, and all of the other people whose lives were impacted by Alex Neville. He will always be remembered.
We are so very sorry for the loss of Alex. Our hearts and our thoughts are with Madison and the family at this time. We love you
Awesome person and good friend. Prayers for your family and friends
Dr Neville was a pleasure to work with. I enjoyed being his nurse at COF. God bless his family and friends.
What a wonderful tribute to Alex, he sounds a lot like his Dad David with whom I went to school with and married his brother.
The love that is shown in his pictures with his family shows with no question., They meant everything to him. He will now be their Guardian angel, ...
Leaving 2 sons to make the world a better place and to help watch over their mom and family is a gift.
May you find joy and happiness Madison.
I pray you will always feel Alex's love.
Anona
I am so sorry for your loss.
Alex was a wonderful person and he will be greatly missed by all.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. I have known Alex since junior high. While back then we did not associate as frequently, in more recent years I was privileged to work alongside him at UAMS. Alex was beyond kind and worked tirelessly to provide for our tiny patients and their families. He will be dearly missed by many.
We are so very sorry for the loss of Alex. Our family has been praying for the Neville and Mills family since we heard of this heartbreaking loss. With all our deepest sympathy.
Peggy,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I can't believe this is true as I reflect on some of the Alex stories you told at College Station. I will continue to remember you and your family in my prayers.

Dear family of Alex...
We are Christians, however there are parables of other faiths that also hold great wisdom. This is one you may find of value:
"A woman went to the great Oriental wiseman, Buddha. She was seeking the answer to why her Husband / the Father of her children had died. The Omnipent Asian said the woman must first bring him 'A mustard seed from a home without sorrow.'
So, the woman set out on a sojourn. She traveled the globe, going from house to house. Throughout her travels she never found a household ignorant of grief. It was through this journey, the precious widow came to understand - all are visited by sadness - at different times and in different ways.
It was through this discovery, she found a pair of priceless solaces - one was Understanding and the other was Peace."
Our condolences, upon this untimely passing of dear Alex. May Jesus Christ bless Alex's family and friends - now and forevermore.
Randy, we are so saddened to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May God bring you comfort.

Praying for you all! Sending lots of hugs and love to the Mill's family!
Madison, Lawson, Camden, Sharon, Randy and family. We are heartbroken for all of you and the rest of the family and friends. You & Alex won our hearts over that special day in June 2008. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. May God give you peace and comfort as only He can. We love you!
I am so sorry for the loss of your soulmate, and the father of your son's. I wish I had the words that would help your pain. But there is not a word that could lessen the pain you are experiencing. Alex and I had the opportunity working together surviving babies in the UAMS NICU. He was a wonderful person and Doctor! He truly loved his family! I pray for peace, and comfort for you, your son's and family.
My prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. May God bless and keep you.
Words do not seem sufficient to express how sorry we are for your families loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
i am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Alex and he was a good doctor and a kind person.
I'm so saddened to hear about Alex's passing. I pray for peace and comfort for his family.
To the family,
I am so sorry for the loss of Alex. He went to high school with my son Dustin McJunkin and was a very nice young man. He will be in heaven with Dustin now so they can watch over all of us. I know they will be playing lots of jokes on people. May all your grief and sorrow be lessened in time.

Madison, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I am happy to have had the privilege to know you and share the joy of caring for children at ACH. Thank you for your smiles and laughs.
I never met you Alex but I heard the stories of your impending venture as a doctor from Sue Tomayko one of your adoring fans. I also knew your mother in law Sharon, from when our two boys (Grant) and Shaun, my son, played soccer together years ago. Madison was only a young very pretty girl back then. Sue has kept me up with all the family stories and yours was a proud one. It is so pleasing to hear stories of people who have reached the pinnacle of success as you did. I'm so sorry you wont be able to live your dream but now you have another one, watching as an angel as your little ones grow up, hopefully like their Daddy, to give service to those in need. God Bless you in your new home of all homes!! Bless your family during this heart wrenching time, may God be with them.
