Wanda Louine Purvis, age 52, of Helena, Arkansas passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 at her home. Miss Purvis was born June 27, 1962 at Helena to Charles Henry Purvis and the late Releta Proctor Purvis. She was a member of Lexa Baptist Church and worked for 15 years for Thomas Petroleum.
She is survived by her father, Charles Purvis of Helena; two sisters, Charlotte Dianne Purvis of Helena and Barbara Lynn Purvis of Branson, Missouri; four brothers, Charles Alan Purvis, David Hershell Purvis, James Henry Purvis and Danny Wayne Purvis, all of Helena; stepmother, Shirley Morell Purvis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Releta Purvis; her grandfather, Alfred Allen Proctor; and grandmother, Annie Purvis.
A service for Wanda Purvis will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 11, 2014 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Helena. Brother Tommy Jacobs and Sister Doris Smith will officiate.
Pallbearers are Hershell Purvis, Robert "Bob" Purvis, Peter Dorsett, Vernon Morell, James Purvis and Charles Alan Purvis. Honorary pallbearers are Ryan McGee, Benjamin Masemore, Charles Henry Purvis, Robert Purvis and David Wayne Purvis.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.

I met Wanda at Helena Crossing when I start working here a 1 1/2 ago. Sahe was always kind to me. She would always listen to want i had to say no matter how crazy it was. Wanda kindness will always be missed but never forgotten. Wanda is now in Heaven with God Angels. May the Lord continue to bless the family. Remember to hold on to the Lord.

Wanda in Marvell when the company bought Fast Break. She have always been nice, kind, and helpful to me. She was just a sweet person. My prayers goes out to the family. i will truly miss her a lot.

She wasn't just a sweet caring person, she truly loved her family, friends, and our furry little animals. Wanda was a volunteer for HSD almost from the git go. She also provided love and shelter as a foster for our animals. She will be sorely missed.

May God bless each of you as you adjust to the great loss in your family. Wanda was so kind hearted and had such a loving spirit. She loved her Lord, her family, her friends and all animals. She will be missed here on earth but she is loving Glory in her "forever" home. The song " Friends are friends forever if The Lord is Lord of them" brings comfort cause we will see her again!

I felt like I knew Wanda all my life the first time I met her. There was an instant friendship connection. She was a sweet, sweet person. I lost my husband 7/4 as well. One of my many thoughts was that maybe Wanda and I could start spending more time together since she liked exploring the great outdoors as well as I did. I was so very shocked to learn of her passing and saddened that I did not have the chance to know her better. Prayers to her loving family. Rest in peace my friend.
