November 28, 1937 - June 15, 2005

Bobby Lamar Bowen, age 67, of Little Rock, formerly of Tinsman, Arkansas, son of Vester and Ola Bowen, born November 28, 1937, left this earth to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 15, 2005. Bobby was a devout Christian and a member of Capital City Freewill Baptist Church. Bobby was a man of principle whose character, integrity and generosity touched all who knew him. He was an avid outdoorsman and musician. He loved to hunt and fish, especially with Greg, Josh, and Robert down in Hogskin County. Another passion was playing guitar with all of his friends at church. Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Rebecca; a son, Gregory Lamar Bowen of Maumelle, Arkansas, grandchildren, Joshua Lamar Bowen of Maumelle, Stevi Nicole Bowen Patterson (Matthew) of North Little Rock, and their mother, Judy Bowen of Maumelle; his precious great-granddaughter, Cadence Nicole Patterson of North Little Rock; a brother, Kermit Bowen (Shirley) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his first cousin, Hazel Smith, whom he loved as the sister he never had of Tinsman, Arkansas; two aunts, Evelyn Sharp of Little Rock and Martha Sue Matthews of Oklahoma; one uncle, Johnny Ray Strickland of Little Rock. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Robert Ward (Margaret); sister-in-law, Maxine Sigler (Weldon) and many nieces, nephews and friends, as well as his special friends of Capital City Freewill Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 17, 2005 at the Roller-Drummond Southwest Chapel with Brother Harold Claassen officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Thursday at Roller-Drummond, 10900 I-30, Little Rock, (501) 455-5800.
