Mrs. Virginia "Jenny" Louise (Greer) Bennett of Little Rock, Arkansas departed this life on Friday, December 13, 2013 at the age of seventy-nine.

She was born in Weldon, Arkansas, the daughter of R.A. "Tom" Greer & Atheleen (Cruse) Greer. Jenny was the beloved wife of Lonnie Bennett. She was an avid tennis player, a voracious reader, a wonderful and fun cook, and an excellent hostess. She also possessed a priceless sense of humor. Jenny was a true southern lady who exemplified the qualities that makes this country great. She was the best "grandmama" there ever was. She will be truly missed and always loved by her many friends and family.

Jenny was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and three sisters, Anna Jean Guinn, Betty Krone and Tommie Adams.

She is survived by two daughters: Dianne Cobb and husband, Lloyd, of Little Rock, Leanne Elliott and husband, Chris Shireman, of Jacksonville; four grandchildren: Lindsey Roberts and husband, Kelly, Blake Elliott and wife, Gretchen, Bennett Cobb, and Neeley Courtney and husband, Steven; three great-grandchildren: Jack Roberts, Parker Courtney and Serena Elliott; two brothers-in-law, Billy Bennett and George Krone. Jenny is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 4:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 17 at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Newport, Arkansas. Family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 P.M., Tuesday at Jackson Funeral Home in Newport.

Memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Arkansas Cancer Research Center (ACRC).

Mama, Love you so much and will miss you so very much. Your are with Daddy now and I know it's been a joyous reunion. You two had such a romance and you have missed him terribly.. Our family will not be the same without our Grandma. You were wonderful and generous and loving to all of us - all of the time.
