There have been few men in my life that I admired and respected as much as I did my Uncle Joe. My dad being one of them and 2 weeks earlier the good Lord called him home. I know he was there with many to welcome Uncle Joe home. I don't know how they can carry the many crowns they both earned but I'm sure there is a way. I am heart broken that I will not be there at his service but will feel very much a part of it knowing the same song that was played at my dad's funeral will be played at his. My last memory of Uncle Joe will be him comforting me beside my dads casket telling me how much better off he is and how much he loved me. I loved him very much as well and I thankful I had the opportunity to tell him. I love you Aunt Doris, Christi, Kevin and I will be praying for you all as you go through this painful experience in life. Brenda

We lost a godly man, but Uncle Joe gained a heavenly gift.... A gift not earned but one freely given by Jesus... Very few men live their lives in a continual example of a life lived for Christ.

I am one of MANY that have witnessed Joe Dickey's example of how a Shepard should lead thru example. I lost my father only a few weeks ago, and through it all Brother Joe was a comforter to me... and as one of my fathers requests, Joe traveled to preach his funeral service, he ministered to our family, he helped us say goodbye.

Joe was truly Gods helper, and I have no doubt that as soon as he closed his eyes here on earth, that he was ushered into the presence of The Lord and found his prepared place in heaven...

Thank you Uncle Joe, for leading me to The Lord, for baptizing me, for teaching me.... Oh what a blessing you were in my life...

Aunt Doris, and Family... Please know that I pray for each of you daily and am only a phone call away if I can ever be of assistance.

I love you all...

It is with sad news we hear of such a great man as Joe Dickey passing. He will be greatly missed. It was a pleasure knowing him as well as his support of church events when at Grace Baptist Church in Bryant. Although I am a member of Temple, as he always says, It is a blessing to have a member from our sister churches here today. We are honored to have Brother Joe at Temple for his funeral and to host a last gathering of many of his old friends in a church they are familiar with. God bless this family as Joe was a great leader and will leve many gaps in our hearts!
