So sorry for your loss. I regret I did not know him personally; from all that is written he was truly a wonderful man and you, Ruby, evidently have been a wonderful wife to him. I am Guy Nivens first born. Ruby, some of your pictures remind me of Aunt Alene. We do have a beautiful family; proud to be part of it.

My sympathy to the family.

Ruby,
Drexel is one in million. He could always bring a smile to whomevers path he crossed. I will always remember him as a caring loving person. Always had a fishing story to tell me. Will miss you Drexel and think of you daily.

Drexel was one of the best friend a person could have and glad to be one of them. Sure going to miss my uncle. He show me how to crappie fish and glad I will have these memories to keep, had so many good times fishing with him. You could say that I followed his foot steps as he was a truck driver and next thing I know I was driving one of them big rigs papa bull I will always remember the time you took me back to Mo at the end of the summer in that old IH cab over. That just made my day. Aunt Ruby you been such a great wife and care giver for uncle Drexel and been beside him al the way. God Bless you each and every day. Will be thinking about you all tomorrow being I can't be there due to my procedure at Baptist. RIP Uncle Drexel.

Drexel was our wonderful neighbor and friend for many years. We will think of him often. He will be truly missed.

Drexel was just the kindest soul around. He touched so many lives with his warm personality.
I will remember Drexel as a devoted husband, father, son, and brother to the family he cared for so much.
I have a fond childhood memory of Uncle Drexel taking me fishing when I was a little girl and showing me how to bait my hook!
My family was so appreciative of he and Aunt Ruby coming to Colorado when my Father passed away to help us in our time of immense sorrow.
The world is a better place for having you here for 87 years!
You will be missed and the memory of you will forever be in our hearts.

Aunt Ruby,
We were all put on this earth for a reason and Drexel was that soul of dignity and honor not only to you and Kevin but all those who came in contact with him. He was gracious, kind, and most of all respected just by his presence around those amongst him. Giving back now the love to you with all the love he gave us. Dave Brown. God Bless.

Aunt Ruby,
It's hard to believe he's not here even though he lives in our hearts and minds. Just a few weeks ago he was telling mom and I how to get to resturant and then how to get to MD office from Chenal Prkway. I remember as a little girl the twinkling eyes and the wonderful grin but most esp. I remember the card games at Grandma and Grandpa Brown's. The guys were usually laughing and cutting up but, Uncle Drexal took it seriously. If he was winning everything was good but if he wasn't there might have been a little temper showing and maybe a few 4 letter words. His love of family and friends also made him a special person and he never forgot a face or name and was like grandma Brown in that respect. I know he's at peace and we will see him again someday. I'm not saying goodbye just farewell for now. Love you, Michelle

Aunt Ruby,
A special "thank you" for the wonderful loving care that you've provided over the years for Uncle Drexel. All of our hearts are hurting due to his passing. However, I know that everyone feels as we do, those kind smiling eyes of his will always be remembered. It is with this note we say, "we love you Uncle Drexel and Aunt Ruby"

Aunt Ruby
What a handsome man in the picture above!!! I can see why you chose him! I see so many features of my beloved family members in his young face. I am so proud to be a part of a family that may be separated by so many miles but is so close where it matters- at heart. The world lost a wonderful man, husband, father, brother, uncle, etc. He will never be forgotten.
You were his home, his protector, and angel on Earth caring for his failing body until it could be restored. Your loving and giving heart can rest knowing that you did all you could for him and he stayed as long as he could for you.
All my love,
Brandi
XOXO

Living so far apart from family is so hard especially knowing what an amazing family we have! From the time I was little, i remember and know how warm and caring he was (as are all my uncles and aunts)! My heart goes out to all of my Brown family but most especially Aunt Ruby who always has just the right words ...i wish i could hug her right now and tell her everything will be okay! I know my Mom, Grandpa and Grandma Brown and Kevin were all there waiting for him as God welcomed him home!! It is just a little hard knowing I won't see him again on trips to Arkansas! I will always have a vivid memory of him stopping in his tractor trailer for a quick visit with us while passing thru Missouri..always made Mom so happy!! Love and miss you Uncle Drexel...until we meet again!
