Alta Mae Armstrong, 80, of Siloam Springs, died October 2, 2013. She was born April 1, 1933, in Winnsboro, Texas, to the late Jack Sutton and Mary Ella (Miller) Sutton. She was of the Pentecostal Faith. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and taking care of her grandchildren. She was married to the late Andrew J. Armstrong on October 28, 1949. In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Armstrong is preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Armstrong; four brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Armstrong is survived by two sons, Andrew J. Armstrong of Siloam Springs and James Armstrong of Louisiana; three daughters, Janet Vita, Connie Higgins and Joyce Bullock, all of Lincoln; two sisters, Katherine Pike of Tyler, Texas and Pamela Welles of Fayetteville; fourteen grandchildren, Marsha Fox, Charles Truitt, Dana Canfield, Tina Caldwell, Amanda Armstrong, Andrew Armstrong, IV, Andrea Armstrong, Ella Armstrong, Sarah Bullock, Courtney Bullock, Ashley Armstrong, Phillip Armstrong, Jamie Cruise and Jessica Bullock; twenty great grandchildren and two on the way.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, October 3, 2013, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home. Mrs. Armstrong's funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 4, 2013, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home, with Rev. Floyd Starnes officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery, Pottsville, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Charles Truitt, Daniel Truitt, Jerrye Fox, Phillip Armstrong, Jeremy Cruse and Mike Shea.

Honorary Pallbearers will be David Easter and Danny Vita.

Alta "MAWMAW" My beautiful grandmother was the sweetest, most loving and gentle person I have ever known , she gave up so much for all of us . mawmaw loved the Lord and she was always in her bible searching the scriptures and puting them together to make sure we had the whole message , Mawmaw talked to the Lord everyday he is her best friend . I love her so much and I miss her so much , she would always say your mawmaw's little heart throb, I miss those words so much , see you in heaven Mawmaw.
