Joan Stephens Hall, 76, of Jonesboro, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013 at her home. Born July 14, 1937 to the late Jess and Vetrell Faulkner Stephens, Joan loved traveling, gardening, scrapbooking, and most of all, her kids and grandkids. She had worked for Sears and was a housewife, mother and grandmother. Joan was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one granddaughter.
Survivors include her husband, Ellis (Bud) Hall; four sons, Michael Hall, Gary (Cathy) Hall, Larry (Leigh Anne) Hall and Shannon (Beth) Hall; a daughter, Robin (Randal) Jennings; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two sisters, Freda Yates and Doris Stephens.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Wednesday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro.
Funeral services will be 10 am Thursday at the Roller-Farmers Union Chapel with Harold Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery.
Bert Cole, Justin Yates, Robert Cooper, Dennis Lambert, Mark Smith and Buddy Couch will serve as pallbearers.
The family requests lasting memorials be made to the Macedonia Cemetery Fund, in care of Freda Yates, 1411 Bittle St, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
