Mickey Townsend, 58, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013. He was born July 13, 1954 in Paeola, KS to the late Wilbur and Irene Thomas Townsend. Mickey was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Michael Townsend.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan Townsend; two daughters, Nicole (James) Rowland of York, PA and Brooke Townsend of Stonewall LA; five grandchildren, Kennedy, Trent and Gabe Rowland and David and Cailin Townsend; three sisters, Michelle (Mike) Neal, Monette Lamorne all of El Paso and Moneque Lewis of Cabot; and a host of other family and friends.
Mickey was a great father, wonderful husband and loving pappy.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter and truly enjoyed being in
the outdoors.
Funeral Service will be 12 noon, Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church, 5025 Lynch Dr. North Little Rock, AR 72117. Interment will follow at Orion Cemetery, Hensley, AR. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. prior to the service at the church.

Mickey was such a great guy -- we were shocked to see his obiturary in Sundays paper. We haven't been in touch in a long, long time but wanted you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Mickey. He was a kind and thoughtful person, and loved his family. We got to know Mickey at Saline Hunting Club. Always easy to get along with, and could always make you laugh. He will be missed. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

I was so shocked when I saw Mickey's obituary in the newspaper. I remember talking to you just a few months ago when Nicole was down from PA. I am so sorry for your loss and your girls and their families. Again, I'm so sorry and my prayers are with you and your family during this time of great grief.
Mickey will be greatly missed, I will never forget Rose City Ball Park times. The Townsend family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so Thankful that I had the pleasure of knowing Mickey and working with him as a fellow bondsman, we had many great times and Mickey was a wonderful person and will be missed by many! I'm so sad to hear Mickey passed. He was such a great man with a heart bigger than Texas he will be missed by many. He always had a smile on his face no matter how bad he felt. RIP my friend. My heartfelt prayers go out to the family. Just know anyone that knew Mickey loved him.

I am so heart broken to learn that my Uncle Mickey passed. I loved him so much and I am so thankful that I got to visit with him and Aunt Susan back in May when I made a trip to Arkansas. May my family have peace in this time of loss.
