He was born in Batesville, Arkansas, and graduated from South Side High School, and attended Lyons College. Later in life he was an Executive Insurance Agent for Reliable Life Insurance Company. He is preceded in death by his father Owen E Shaw, His Mother Genevia (Tarply) Shaw and sister Sue Shaw.
He is survived by his partner, friend and loving wife of 40 years, Carolyn Gaisbauer Shaw. He is also survived by his children that will dearly miss him Denise Pierce (Jim), Timmy Shaw, Greg Shaw (Joyce). He leaves behind his grandchildren Colton and Blake Bingham, Sam Pierce, Timmy Shaw, Jr. and Kelton Shaw; and cousins Brenda Terral (Jim) and Mike Shaw.
We would like to think the staff at St. Vincent Hospital and Arkansas Hospice at St. Vincent. We wish to express our greatest gratitude to Dr. Thomas Sneed and his staff, Dr. Sadiz and Dr. Ramos. We would not have made this difficult journey without the Doctors and their staff and the most heartfelt thankfulness to our dear family and friends. You have all been on this journey with us and we are most grateful for you kindness and unending support. Mom and I cannot thank you enough!
You were a husband, father, grandfather and you will be missed every single day, there is no replacement for someone as special as you, we love you!
The visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2013, with a memorial service to follow in the chapel of Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas, (501)224-8300.
In lieu of flowers my dad requested a memorial fund be set-up in his name. You may mail to Fred Shaw Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 21632, Little Rock, AR 72221.

We are so very sorry you are having to go through this. It does not seem fair that we are losing so many of our dear family so fast. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Heaven must be having one heck of a party these days with as many that have left to go there lately! We will be with them soon. Keep the faith and know we love you.
