Vance and family-
It is 2021 and a lot has changed!
Kayla will be 26 in just a few weeks…she misses you, your family misses you and yes I miss you.
The love we had was strong but outside factors broke that bond. We reconnected, supported one another and you understood that I wanted a family life for our little girl, Kayla! You met Andy and approved of him being a parent to Kayla! The average man would not do that!!! At the time, I was a little taken back awaiting the next move….God knows what needs to happen and knows the move today, tomorrow and the future!! God bless and know you left a legacy…Vance!

Three years, I can't even grasp that length of time. So much has changed in those three years, I just finished my 3rd semester of college, I turned 20 (I remember you telling me when I was 9 years old that, that was the last time I would never be in the single digits, and again when I was 12, how I was almost a teenager), I traveled around Europe, and so much more. There are so many time I pick up the phone and just wish to hear your voice, because one-thousand-sixty-nine days is such a long time for a little girl to not hear her daddy's voice. I miss you so much dad. Love you always -Your punkin

I, too, come back to this site to read the notes written by friends and I still cannot believe that Vance is gone. No one can know how much I miss him. I hurt when I think of how Kayla must feel when she knows her Dad will never experience her growing up they both have been cheated. He went too soon. Parents are supposed to go before their children.. I pray that our Lord and Saviour has him in his arms.

I find myself coming and looking at this from time to time, I still can't put it into perspective that you're gone. I miss you more than anything Dad, I hope you are smiling while looking overmen, pleased at the lady I have and am becoming. You taught me more than you will ever know, I love you so much.
Kayla

I am saddened by the death of Vance. The last time that I saw him was around 1979 or 1980.In the mid 1970's, I lived down the street from him in Elaine. I wish only the best for the family that he leaves behind and that the Lord will give you all strength to go on.
Sincerely,
Jenny Wright Gidluck
