Dear ones, we can smile now because of Jesus' promise. Tough ol' Major was there to meet her. She was tough too,(had to be) but gracious. She and Mama were tight, and that means a lot to me. You had the best parents, just like Rexene and I did. God bless you. Becky

Major's loud voice and Helen's stern face used to scare me to death! I would play cards with helen and she would be so serious but she would make a joke and her face would break out in a huge grin!! She taught me that in every situation you could find humor and set someone at ease. She never treated me as if I was young, she always listened to what I said and made me feel important. What strength and courage it took to raise her husband's siblings and lose a child soon after birth! She was a dear friend to my grandmother, my mother, and to me. I have been thinking what a party they had in heaven when she got there, and I hope she will be telling stories about us to our loved ones who are already there!! Major will probably yell, "What took you so long to get here?" and she will reply, "God just took His time deciding where I was going!" I consider it a privilege to have had a friend in Helen and she showed me so much....she is a friend forever...
