October 5, 1915 - August 16, 2012

Beuron Richard Esch, 96, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2012. He was born on October 5, 1915, in McKenzie, Tennessee, to Gus Enloe and Eva Moore Esch.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his four brothers, Joe, James, Jack, and Andrew Esch. He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Clarine Barker Esch, and his three children; Bill Esch (Sarah) of Overland Park Kansas, Barbara Mills (Dennis) of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Brian Esch (Paige) of Franklin, Tennessee. He adored his six grandchildren; Richard and Brad Esch, Hunter and Emily Clair Mills, and Carmen and Andrew Esch; and his two great grandchildren, Caroline and Dylan Esch.

Soon after WWII ended, Beuron and Clarine moved to North Little Rock, where they raised their family, and he worked in sales and management positions for several Little Rock area businesses, including Karcher Candy Company, Life of Georgia Insurance Company, and Red Crown Laundry Services.

He was a very active, faithful member of Somers Avenue Church of Christ in NLR, where he diligently served as a Sunday School teacher and for nearly forty years as a deacon. He was devoted to providing weekly communion services at worship and for shut-ins. Each year for four decades at the Arkansas State Fair, he enjoyed volunteering at their church's booth to provide registrations for Bible correspondence courses.

Beuron was an avid enthusiast of WWII history, Big Band era and country western music, baseball, fishing and camping, and the Razorbacks.

Bill and family,
So sorry for your loss, I remember your father from his laundry days. My parents and I always enjoyed speaking with him. He always worried about me driving a small car. He was so caring, I know many were touched by him and will miss him. I don' expect you would remember me but i also worked for you at skaggs, you could see the pride on your father's face when he spoke of you. May prayers guide you and your family through this sad time.

Beuron was a great part of our family. He always made sure to check on my mom. He will be greatly missed. His sense of humor always had me rolling. Loved to listen to his stories of growing up with my grandpa and the trouble they'd get into. Love and prayers to you all.

Beuron and Clarine are the best neighbors a person could ask for. But they were even more that to me. Wish I had never moved, cause I really missed them! Family, I am so sorry for your loss. He lived a long and very active life. I will never forget the day Clarine called me on the phone and TOLD me to go to their back yard and "Tell Beuron to get off that ladder and out of that tree!" Like he would have listened to me...
Much love and thoughts to you all.
