Horace Nareus Rappold, 87, of Houston, AR passed away on May 30, 2012. He was born in Yoakum, Texas. One of seven children; Horace was born on August 17, 1924 to the late Thomas and Helen Rappold. He was the loving father of 14 children; a veteran of WW2; he was a hard working carpenter and cattle rancher for all his working years. His dog, Spike, and cattle provided him with much enjoyment after retirement.
Horace was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Marie, and is survived by their children. Sons; Richard Rappold and children, Cecil Rappold and wife Sharon and children, Thomas Rappold and children, Anton Rappold, Father Norbert Rappold, David Rappold and wife Kelli and children, Andrew Rappold and wife Florence and children, George Rapplod and wife and child. Daughters; Margaret and husband Ricky Minchew and child, Agnes Rappold, Helen Rappold, Dorothy and husband Jim Ingram and children, Elizabeth and husband Conrad Gunther and children, and Monica and husband Chad Frey and children.
He will be greatly missed by family and friends and never forgotten.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11am, on Tuesday, June 5th, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Bigelow, with interment to follow at New Dixie Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 6:00-8:00pm, Monday June 4th, at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. A Rosary will be held at 7pm, on Monday, at the Funeral Home.
