Alfred L. Lemons, 94, of Tucker, Arkansas went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 1st, 2012. Alfred was born in Dewitt, Arkansas on August 31st, 1917 to Alfred T. Lemons and Emma Broome Lemons. He farmed all of his life and was very proud to have farmed seventy-one crops his own.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of seventy-one years, Floye E. Lemons, two sons: Jerrell Lemons and Charles Lemons, and one grandson: Marcus McCall.
He is survived by two sons: Donald Lemons (Vivian) of England and Danny Lemons (Janice) of Mascotte, Florida; three daughters: Wanda Dorrell (Kenneth, deceased) of North Little Rock, Betty McCall (Bob) of Wright, and Kathy Lemons of Keo; twelve grandchildren: Rene Bader (Scott) of Springdale, Brenda Bryant (Carl) of Georgia, Cynthia Lockert (Bobby) of East End, David Dorrell of North Little Rock, Michael McCall (Susie) of Hot Springs Village, Christy Mackey (David) of England, Angelia White (Kevin) of Georgia, Steven Lemons of England, Jason Lemons (Meredith) of Scott, Tamara Thomas, Liz and Melissa Steele; seventeen great-grandchildren: Amanda Tate, B. J., Cari, and Reba Lockert, Lauren Johnson, Rachel Bader, Lindsey Sutterfield, Sarah Hughey, Brandon and Cameron McCall, Emma and Allison Mackey, Caleb and Ryan White, Aaliyah Lemons, Emily and Andrew Bryant and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 4th, 2012 at 10:00A.M. at Roller England Funeral Home (501) 842-3939 with Bro. Bobby Alexander and Bro. Gary Alverson officiating. Visitation will be Friday, February 3rd, 2012 at the funeral Home. The family will be gathering at Christy and David's house, 300 S. E. 10th St., England. Burial will be in Union Valley Cemetery in Coy, Arkansas.

I am sorry for your loss. I first met Mr. Lemons in the 1960's and have always considered him to be a fine man. God Bless.
