Jerry Highsmith, age 87 of Gassville, passed away Sunday January 29, 2012 at the Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home. Mrs. Highsmith was born July 8, 1924 in Kirby, WV to Thomas and Hanna (Nichols) Bowman. She was of the Methodist faith, and was a former restaurant owner with her late husband. Mrs. Highsmith was a loving, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by a daughter Lana Pate of Gassville, AR, a son Richard Sanders of Leesburg, FL, her brothers Ray Bowman of Supply, NC, and Gerald Bowman of Bowie, MD, 4 grandchildren that include Lisa Lee, Sherry Lynn Brown, and Tricia Diaz, and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her parents, a husband Harold Highsmith, a husband Kenneth Hamilton, and brothers Blair Bowman, Guy Bowman and Charles Bowman.
Services will be private under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.

I was ask by my mom's room mate Louise Grayham to sign this guest book for her and she wanted to say she was sorry and she would miss her.

Aunt Jerry will always be a part of my childhood memories. I will always remember the days and weeks at the Bay, crabbing and fishing.
