Mitchell D. Hardin, 55, of Batesville died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in Batesville.
He was born November 22, 1956 in Batesville and was the son of Elmer Clifton Hardin and Ella Usillar (James) Hardin.
He was a maintenance supervisor at Health Resources. He enjoyed playing games on the computer; billiards, and competed in pool tournaments; NASCAR; deer hunting, and taught all his grandchildren to hunt, fish, and play pool. He was a member of Believers Community Church in Batesville.
Mitchell is survived by his wife, JoAnn Tucker of Batesville; sons, Keven Tucker and Kristofer Tucker, both of Batesville; daughter, Alisha Sweringen of Searcy; seven grandchildren, Jessica Tucker, Kristen LeaAnn Brown, Devin Duaine Tucker, Alexis Tucker, Taryn Tucker, Silar Sweringen, and Esrom Sweringen; great-grandson, Keyston Tucker; brothers, Marcus Hardin of Wisconsin and Melvin Hardin of California; sisters, Betty VanWinkle of Bald Knob, Arkansas, Bobbie Kuhns of Kansas City, Missouri, and Kayrene Horney of Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandchild, Lance Sweringen.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Believers Community Church with Bro. David Insell officiating.
Burial will be in James Cemetery by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
Pallbearers are Lannie Hensley, Wimp Franks, Jason Mead, John Kish, Rickey Ingram, Andy Edwards, and Charlie Williams. Honorary pallbearers are David Coleman, Dr. John Lambert, Guy Moseley, Dr. Doug Bernard, and Elmer Cochran.
Visitation is from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2012 at the funeral home.

JoAnn, I was so sorry to hear about Mitchell. I had not been online so just received a notice from Janet today. I love you and you are definately in my prayers. May God comfort you and may you feel a peace in knowing that your friends are thinking about you.

Mitchell was a classmate of mine. I remember him as being kind and funny. What a beautiful memorial that shows how full his life was. The class of 1975 will never forget Mitchell. May God Bless.

I am really sorry for your loss. Mitchell was my classmate. The video memorial is beautiful. I especially liked the pictures of Mitchell with his grandchildren. R.I.P. Mitchell.
