Stephen Richard Lentz, 67, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 20, 2011, at his home in Rowlett, TX, after a lengthy illness. He was born July 20, 1944, in Sandusky, OH, to the late Ralph Frederick and Constance Joan Camp Lentz. He was a graduate of Ohio University and was employed by AT&T/Lucent for 34 years.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Gary Lentz and step-daughter, Kelley Page.
Stephen is survived by his wife Norma Baxley Lentz of Rowlett; his son, Stephen Eric Lentz of Nashville, TN; daughters, Amanda Ryal-Mason (Brad) of Columbus, OH and Rebecca Lentz of Plano, TX; a step-son, Roger Page (Pauline) of Bauxite, AR; a step-daughter, Michelle Page of Little Rock, AR; an uncle, Richard Camp of Florida, 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and several cousins.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Alexander First Baptist Church with Bro. Mark Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Bauxite.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 23rd at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton, AR (315-4047).
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hope 4 Refugees, 1515 N. Town East Blvd., Mesquite, TX 75150.
There will also be a memorial service held at First Baptist Church in Rockwall, TX at a time yet to be determined.

I worked with Steve for about nine years. I can get on the TTYLR blog. I am sorry Steve is no longer with us....he was so sweet and a lot of fun and I have great memories of his kindness

Norma, I am sorry I cannot be with you as you lay Stephen to rest. I wish I could take away your pain. I will honor Stephen's memory at the memorial service in Rowlett. We are with you in spirit.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Lentz's passing. I did not know him, but my prayers will be with his family and friends as they go through their grieving process.
