Our beloved Aunt Melba will be missed dearly. She was a sweet person and I considered her always my "forever young" great aunt, youngest sister of my grandmother. I wish I had the chance to talk to her once more. As always. May God swiftly take her to paradise, where she can intercede in prayer for our needs back here on earth. Lord willing, we shall reunite one day in the ultimate family reunion... no pain, no diabetes, no wanting or needing of anything. God bless you Melba! Some would say "rest in peace," but I don't want you to rest, but to live in paradise, enjoying every day, praying, worshiping, having the best time, ever!
Miss Melba was what the children at Quitman Head Start called her during her years of being a foster grandparent at the Head Start center. The children loved the individual attention and the LOVE she gave each of them.
She was one of my best friends and we went through some rough times together. I am truly thankful we got to visit and spend some time together back in the winter and spent the afternoon talking. I will miss her and her beautiful smiles.
Heaven has gained another precious soul, so sorry for your loss, but heaven's gain. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Melba was a sweet lady who will be missed by many. For many years she would always send me a birthday card in the mail because my birthday was one day before hers. I thought the world of her and I know that heaven is now a better place because she is there.
Although the Lord has called Aunt Melba home, she will live in our hearts and memories... until we meet again.
Melba was such a precious Lady..the first time I met her I was delivering a package and we instantly felt such a connection. I loved Melba so very much and she will be deeply missed.
My deepest and heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family and friends; may you find comfort in all the loving memories that you will carry forever in your heart.
