Ted Meek, 96, of Helena, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011 in Helena. Mr. Meek was born October 21, 1914 in Canton, Mississippi to the late Franklin Julius Meek and the late Veda Parker Meek. He attended Antioch Baptist Church and he retired from Chicago Mills.
He is survived by four grandchildren, Ted Meek, Jr., Kathy Howie (Tommy), Jimmy Meek (Lynn) and Jerry Meek (Michelle); nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jo Evelynn Ludlow Meek; two sons, Jimmy Meek and Ted Meek; three sisters and four brothers.
Services for Ted Meek will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 25, 2011 at Roller-Citizens. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Roller-Citizens. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Reverend J.E. Hughes will officiate.
