Jim and Ora Sue, we both have fond memories of your mom, and remember her as a dedicated servant of her Lord, as well as such a worker in her church...how we appreciate her !
May the Holy Spirit bring to you and all the members of your family great comfort knowing she is with Her Lord.
Love to you all
My family and I were patients of Dr. Black and Dr. Wilson, from the beginning of their practice to the end. Edith was just as important to us as the doctors, and she gave just as much care as the doctors. I will never forget Edith. My thoughts are with the family.
God Bless.
Jim and Ora Sue,
I am so glad you chose this picture of your mother to include in her obituary. It just reflects that bubbly, happy, laughing personality of hers and reminds me of all the times she would get tickled about something and start that cute little laugh of hers. I think that is what the boys will always remember about her was her spunky ways and her laughing. Wish I were a fly on the wall of Heaven and could see her react with Mandy. Tell Brice I have some more photos to send to him of Grandma and Pappaw from when Brice was about 2 years old. Thinking of both of you and praying you feel the strength and comfort of the Holy Spirit wrapped around you.

Such a sweet lady, we remember her from Aunt Flora 's on Apple Street in Monroe, LA. Thinking of you, Claudia Worthey Craig and Susie Ann Norsworthy Graves.
Ora Sue - When reading about your mother today I was flooded with memories of her from our childhood. Your mom was such a great lady with the most wonderful smile and was so much fun...and she loved you and Jimmy so much. Just thinking about her makes me smile. Ora Sue, I know you took great care of her while she was ill as you did when she was full of life. One of the most significant things I remember about you is what a great caretaker you were to your dad and to your grandmother. How lucky they were to have your care. Please know that you and Jimmy and your families are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Karen
We are so sorry for your loss. I don't know if you remember us. I am Leo & Lorene Whisenhunt's daughter. We had the malt shop in Hillcrest and Edith and Mother were good friends. They both also send their thoughts and prayers. Mother has dementia now and when i told her, she read the obit and thought of lots of good times. She doesn't do that very often anymore. May God bless you all.
We have such fond memories of Edith when we were patients of Drs. Black & Wilson. She really knew how to take care of their patients and in such a caring way and always with a smile. We were always put at ease and knew she cared personally about us and our well being. She was a true angel of mercy. Our prayers are with you and your family.
Our prayers are with you. With fondest rememberances and much love, J.R. and Bobbi DeBusk
Jimmy and Ora Sue may God give you the peace and comfort your Mom now enjoys being home with Him.
We will miss seeing Edith on the front porch and remember our enjoyed conversations. God be with you in your new home in heaven. We love you.
