Edith Duncan, 84, of West Memphis, AR, passed away Wednesday January 5, 2011 at her residence. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and her hobbies included cross-stitching and quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Duncan; her parents and several siblings. Ms. Duncan is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Vega and husband, Fairley of West Memphis, AR; her son, Thomas Duncan and wife, Cindy of Memphis, TN; her brother, Tom McIlvain; her sisters, Margie Bradford and Monteray Bradford; her grandchildren, Jennifer Lamb, Kelley Vega, Peter Duncan and Sheryl Joyner and her great-grandchildren, Matthew Lamb and Kassidy Joyner. The graveside service will be Saturday January 8, 2011 in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, AR with interment following the service. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105-3678.

Jo Ann, Your mom was the sweetest lady I've ever known. I never knew her to ever raise her voice or be angry. I can still see her walking to and from our house to yours for visits. I will miss her terribly. I love you and am praying for you.
