I know it's a little late to sign this but, RIP dear cousin. Say hello to my Dad and my Aunt Sarah.

DEAR NELDA, SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT DAVID. ICAN'T IMAGINE LOSING ONE OF MY SIBLINGS. MY LOVE AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.

David was a good friend and classmate. My prayers are with the family.

Sherry and family....I know I don't have to tell you how much I loved David. He was my "best friend" in the world, and I am very saddened by his death. From the early years at Conway P.D. as my fellow friend and brother officer, to my "side-kick" buddy who shared his farm with me, our love of horses and the country...rodeos, horse and tack sales, the USTRC in OKC...right down to simple, but meaningful conversations over a cup of coffee at the Waffle House, Village Inn, or Annies, and there was a bunch of those times! Just today, when I went to the farm to feed the horses...I felt his spirit there with me...as I walked out into the pasture. I know, by his own words, that he loved his family, and it was most evident by all of his hard work and his gentle spirit. Im so thankful that I told David how much he has meant to me all these years and that I loved him as my best friend. Sherry, you and David have been so good to my family and I will always treasure your friendship as well as the many special times spent together with each other. Years ago at CPD, David acquired the nickname of "Bird Dog" because he always found something to get in to, such as a pursuit. I have called him Bird Dog ever since...because that name made him grin! So....Bird Dog...ole buddy...Id like to imagine you sitting next to God with your cowboy hat, Wranglers and boots on and that thick mustache, grinning down on those you left behind....who loved you the most and miss you terribly. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend to me all of these years. I miss you Bird Dog...more than you know!

It is with a heavy heart that we come to terms with the passing of a great man, husband, father, co-worker and friend. The many stories of your life that you shared with the crew and myself will forever be cherished in only the way that you could tell them. Although we hate that you are gone the only good thing is that you are not suffering anymore. I know your family is in strange and uncharted water with your sudden passing but "God" had a plan and that is why he called you home. We will never forget you David "Cowboy" Naylor and if we are blessed we will see you again on the other side!

So terribly sorry for your loss. David was a little ahead of me in school, but I remember him well and his parents, they were family friends. He was a great guy and I know he is going to be greatly missed. Love and prayers with you during this tragic time.

You will Be Missed

Brother you will be missed by many. There are no words available for me to express the many great times we shared; whether it was hunting, fishing or policing together. As a kid I ate about as many meals at your house as I did my own and as adults we worked alongside each other as police officers for many years.
I pray you are resting comfortably now and I know you will be missed.
