Ms. Ward,
I am sorry for your lost. Your are in my prayers. As a child I remember Mr. Ward as being one of my fathers' best friend. I grew up in Timbo. Mr. Ward also gave me my drivering test for my drivers license when I was 16. I was so scared, but he told me not to be afraid. Also, I will never forget how he would come to our house when I was younger. My dad and Mr. Ward would have good laughs on our front porch. I can still hear their laughter.
May God bless you and your family.

Lila & Family,

This just makes my heart so much for you all. I didn't go Carrol had left us until today (Wednesday). I guess I'm just in my only little world sometimes. He was such a good person - always a warm smile and those laughing eyes. I never, ever saw him lose his temper during the years we worked together in "Politics". And, that could make anyone lose their temper! He will be missed by so many. The love you and Carrol shared was reflected in the love you extended to others. What a loving family. I am so saddened by the loss of your loved one. May God continue to richly bless you and keep you all.

What a loss for us all. Carrol was one of the REAL MEN of CLINTON ranking right up there with men like C.G. Cowsert, Dick McCormac, Leslie "Sonny" Miller to name a few who will welcome him to his new home. When a man knows WHO he is, respects himself and his talents and limitations, he becomes respected for his talents, his modesty, and incrediable ability to provide class and dignity in the most difficult of situations.
In his quiet way, Carrol left this world having made a difference in the lives of many, many people. If you ran into him at the Post Office, your day just went better.
I am so glad he rests for eternity at the Rocky Hill - Salem Cemetery....for a large part of his soul lived out on that mountain.
As the years pass, he will be remembered in many, many stories told far and wide for his reach was far and wide.
HUGS (Heavenly Understanding, God Sent) for all who mourn his passing and will feel the empty space in the room for a long, long time. Prayers. Nancy Miller and Bill Henry

So sad to hear of Carrol passing today and just a few
days after the passing of our Aunt Faye in Calico Rock.
My grandfather was Ewing Ward, brother to Carrol's
father Carl. My mother was Mary Frances Ward Davis
and I loved to go see Uncle Carl and Aunt Cuba in
Mountain View when I was young. I always got to see
Carrol and Freddie and Von and Billie Jean. Looking
at this picture of Carrol, it reminds me how much he
looked like Uncle Carl and my grandfather, Ewing.
Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Lila, Tracy, Brian, Scott, Steve, David and families,
Our prayers and love are sent to you at this very sad time. Carrol will be greatly missed, not just by us, but by the community and friends he has made over the years. We will never forget all the fun times and visits and I will always picture Dick and Carrol in the living room talking; Carrol politely listening while Dick carried the conversation. He was a great husband and wonderful 'dad'. We were all lucky to have him in our lives, but you were the source of his joy and who will miss him the most. God bless you all and may He comfort you now in this passing of a true gentleman...

I had the pleasure of rehabing Carrol after his bypass surgery. After two years I grew very fond of him. He reminded me a lot of my own father. We had a lot of fun times and good talks while he was rehabing. I will surely miss his calm demeanor and friendly smile! He was a treasure of a man. Peace and blessings to his family. He gave us all our Drivers test and he showed us as young people the Arkansas State Police is there to protect us and care for us. Carrol was much more than a Trooper or Sheriff he was my friend. I would like to say thanks for paving the path in Law Enforcement and thanks for being such a good friend. To all the family, Carrol will be missed but never forgotten. Carrol is now 10-8 on the streets of HEAVEN and they are well protected. CARROL LYNCH WARD, SIR I SALUTE YOU
