John Wayne Willbanks, 58, of Kensett, passed away Monday, August 16, 2010. He was born in Jackson County, Arkansas to the late John Henry and Goldie Willbanks. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother. He loved restoring old tractors, farming and horses.
Mr. Willbanks is survived by his wife, Rita (Townsend) Willbanks; four children, John Willbanks, Jr. (wife Paula) of Ector, TX, Janis Jones (husband Shane) of Searcy, Arkansas , Jeffrey Turpin (wife Tina) of Judsonia, Arkansas, and Richard Turpin (wife Lisa) of Seattle, Washington, two sisters, Lou "Pinkie" Guthrie (husband R.G.) of Bald Knob, Arkansas and Brenda "Bren" Willbanks of Jacksonville, Arkansas; four brothers, Robert Willbanks (wife Rita) of Bald Knob, Arkansas, Jim Willbanks (wife Ruth) of Kensett, Arkansas, James Willbanks of Beebe, Arkansas, Walter "Buster" Willbanks (wife Jerrie) of McRae, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6:00 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2010 at the Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy, Arkansas. Graveside Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy, Arkansas.

Rita, You have been like a second mother to me for nearly 13 years now. When you and John met I saw a light in you that I hadn't seen before. John's memory will live on , in you and the life you lived together. Take comfort in knowing this is not the end, we will all meet again one day.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of your husband. I just wanted you to know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers over the next few days and weeks. My dad died on Good Friday this past April but he was 91. 58 is such a young age. What a legacy with all those grandchildren! Carolyn

Rita,
I was shocked to hear about John. I know he will be missed dearly by all of his family. He loved you so much and will be waiting with open arms in heaven. If you need anything please let me know. I will not be able to attend Saturday Serrvices, we have to move Emily back to college between 10 & 2, but my thoughts and prayers will be with you. We will miss you very much uncle John. I will always remember you driving by on your tractors and coming up on your four wheeler smiling and joking around.
