Cole called us today and gave us the news. We are so sorry to hear about Lane. What a precious little boy. Our hearts go out to you both. We will be praying for your whole family, that God will heal your broken hearts and provide comfort to you all. It seems that life is so hard to understand sometimes and we question God. Why? Our comfort is that someday we'll be with him and he will give us all of the answers. Until then, hold each other close and don't let go.
Please accept our deepest condolences

I do not know any of you. However; your friend Blythe was a cabin counselor and teacher at our Church camp in Morrilton this past week when this terrible tragedy took place. I just wanted to let you know that the entire camp was heartbroken by your loss and we conducted a special prayer for you and prayed for you for the remainder of camp. I also mentioned you in church this Sunday and I'm sure many others from camp have done the same thing. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you in my prayers.

Keith and I wanted to let you know that we are so very sorry for the tragic loss of your sweet baby Lane. I cherish the times I held him and rocked him in the nursery at WBC. My prayer is that God will hold you tight in the weeks and months ahead as you try to move forward and make life the best you can for your other kids. My prayer is that they too will be comforted by Him as they do not understand. Bless you all and prayers are going up to Heaven for you.

Josh and Amy,
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. This just breaks our hearts for you. We too lost our son, Graham Killingsworth, he was 5 years old. You will never go through anything harder and it is a long road to healing. People told us to be good to each other and I didn't understand why they would say that, but I do understand now. So, be easy and kind to one another. Know that we are all hurting for you and praying for you and your family.

I never knew Lane Isaac Mathews or your family at all. I have a 4-year old grandson, Reid, who jumped off the cliffs at Heber on Monday, with his dad (my son) standing beside him. He could have drowned. I watched the video of Lane Isaac Mathew's life, read everything possible about him and cried my heart out each time his name was mentioned or I saw his face in a picture. My heart is broken for your family. I promise two things: 1) I will pray for you everyday, that through our Lord's love your family will get through this.
2) I will hug Reid over and over again, remembering your baby boy as my inspiration.

Amy and Josh-
I am so sorry to hear about Lane. I cannot fathom what you are going through. None of us understand why things like this happen. Please know that you guys are in my prayers regularly. You guys hold a special place in my heart, since Lexi and Addy were born a day apart. Love you guys lots!
