My sincerest condolences to the family of Wayne Venable. I worked with Wayne from the conception of the Vanguard bus until I left in 1990. He was such a plesant person to be around. He could make you laugh just by hearing him laugh. I remember when he would bring jars of hot peppers to work and the guys would see who could eat the most. Wayne always won! Athough he would be as red as a beet in the face, he always won.

When my father bought the land, Bones and Louise and "T" were still living near the house. I think T's foot is still stamped in the fireplace hearth. My dad, who passed in 1970, rode to work with some of the family. It's hard to believe so much time has passed. We will all miss him, and our thoughts are with you.

We had the pleasure of working with Wayne at Coachette years ago. Mr. Wayne helped me with wiring on some of the bigger school buses. Several people from Mayflower worked with us. Wayne always had a smile on his face and loved being around people. He was actually in one of the buses when my husband asked me out for our first date over 35 years ago. We can remember it like it was yesterday. We are so sorry to hear about Mr. Wayne passing. I know he will be missed by lots of people, and our thoughts and prayers are with all of you and your families.
