John Christopher Rodman, 26, of Abilene, Texas, formerly of Lexa, Arkansas, passed away April 14, 2010 in Abilene. Chris was born December 21, 1983 at Helena, Arkansas to Johnny and Barbara Scrimsher Rodman. He was a member of Harmony Baptist and the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his fiancé, Rebecca White of Abilene; one daughter, Kiera White of Abilene; his father and step mother, Johnny and Debbie Rodman of Lexa; his mother, Barbara Scrimsher St. John of Carlisle, Arkansas; three sisters, Amy Rodman Martinez and husband, Brandon of Lexa, Larrineshia and Laura Harris both of Carlisle; two brothers, Joshua Rodman and wife, Jessica of Western Grove, Arkansas and Tyler Meny of Lexa; grandparents, Marie Rodman of Lexa, and Hester Warren and husband, King of Lonoke, Arkansas; one niece Raylee Rodman of Western Grove.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, L.B. Rodman and Albert Scrimsher; and one uncle, Lawrence Ray Rodman.
Services for John Christopher Rodman will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2010 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena, Arkansas. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Roller-Citizens. The Reverend Rodger Hooker will officiate. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in West Helena.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Brad Davis, Timothy Hollowell, Keith Hollowell, Ambrose Smith, Brandon Johnson, Wiley Mavity and David Jenkins.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena (870) 572-2571.

To the family of SSgt John C. Rodman, I am sorry for your lost as John worked for me in the CTK section at Dyess AFB TX he had been to my home a couple of times and I thought the world of him. I also worked with him a little while at Lowe's in Abilene. He will be dearly missed and something that you already know is he is a good man and Airman.
