Lucy Jacobs was born October 14, 1915 in Johnson County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of John Franklin and Savannah Smith Bridges. She died April 10, 2010, at Johnson Regional Medical Center, Clarksville, Arkansas, at the age of 94. She was a member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church and retired from the Singer Company. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lennie Randall and Nettie Jacobs; two brothers, Oren Bridges and Erna Bridges; husband, Fearel Woodrow Jacobs.
She leaves behind three daughters, Jean Iddings of Clever, Missouri, Shirley Price of Clarksville, Arkansas, Phyllis Galbreth of Pleasant View, Tennesse; one son, Bobby Jacobs of Clarksville, Arkansas; one sister, Magdalene Dobbs of Clarksville, Arkansas; one brother, Olen Bridges of Camargo, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; thirthteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 6-8p.m., Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home, Clarksville, Arkansas. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Clarksville, Arkansas. Reverend Vernon Bass and Reverend Ransom Storms officiating. Burial will be in the Kendall Cemetery, Hartman, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Robert Gibson, Logan Phillips, Johnny Cline, Stephen Galbreth, Kevin Jacobs, Chris Tucker, Bruce Phillips.
Honorary Pallbearers will be James Price, Don Galbreth, Matthew Galbreth, Randy Cline, Bobby Don Jacobs, Len Bradley.
Roller-Cox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Lucy was a great lady and I know she will be greatly missed.

Loved & respected Lucy all my life. She was such a good friend to my Mom and had good times with her when I visited.
