Ruby Mae Stephens, 86, of Conway, passed away on March 30, 2010. Born in Terrell, TX, she was a daughter to the late George W. and Edna (Blansett) House. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was a member of Robinson and Center Church of Christ. Ruby had worked for Southwestern Bell as a switchboard operator and was an active volunteer at nursing homes and independent living facilities in Texas and Arkansas. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, corresponding with friends and making porcelain dolls.
A sister Billye Hull Adcock and a brother Johnny House also preceded Ruby in death.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Patton Stephens; daughter Mary "Mikie" McLendon and husband Paul of Conway; granddaughters Mandy Tatom and husband Don of Conway and Magen Parker and husband Jason of El Dorado; four great-grandchildren: Talyn, Ben, Jake and Mary Claire and nieces and nephews: Patsy McLain, Ray Triplet and Susie, Becky and Johnny House.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 2, at Furr Cemetery in Locust Bayou, AR. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.

I appreciate that I was given the opportunity to become acquainted with Ruby and her family during her final journey. I so enjoyed getting to see her beautiful doll collection. What a talented lady she was! Please accept my sympathy on her passing.
There was only one Ruby. She was more precious than gold! She left an imprint on my heart because of her love. I pray God will comfort the family, she will be missed.
Ms. Ruby was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met. A special friend and wonderful Christian example. I was blessed to know her and love her.
