Harlon Wesley Isom 89, of Clinton, Arkansas passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Ozark Health Nursing Center Clinton, Arkansas. He was born November 15, 1920 at Clinton, Arkansas to the late Charles Wesley and Bessie Lovell Isom.
Harlon spent most of his life working as a mechanic and parts manager in Clinton. He was of the Baptist faith and an Army veteran. He will be dearly missed by a multitude of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Harlon Isom, Jr., two sisters, Gertrude Isom, and Laura Faye Trott, three brothers, Scott, Louis, and Floyd Reed.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Ilene Marie Newman Isom of Clinton, AR; daughter, Shirley Johnson and husband Van of Fairfield Bay, AR; grandson, Scott Bradford and wife Melanie of Shirley, AR; grandson, Robert H. Isom and wife Gayla of Walker, LA; granddaughter, Alissa Benefiel and husband Charles of Yelleville, Ar; great granddaughters, Shelby and Sydney Bradford, Lannie, Maria, and Jamie Benefiel. great grandsons, Shawon Isom, and Heath Huggins, and many nieces, and nephews.
Casketbearers: James Isom, Cecil Isom, Plillip Isom, Bill Isom, Chris Isom, and Chad Isom.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00pm Tuesday, January 12, 2010 and Funeral Service will be 10:00am Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Arkansas with Pastor Robert H. Isom. Burial will follow at Pee Dee Cemetery.

Sorry we were not there! We did not here of Grandpa's death till after the funeral. I'm sure the service was nice. I 'm sending you all my deepest sympathy. He will be greatly missed.

Aunt Ilene, Shirley & Van, and Family:
We were so sorry to learn of Uncle Harlon's passing, and we deeply regret that we will not be able to be there with all of you during this sad and difficult time.
As I think back over all the wonderful times I spent at your house when I was a kid, so many fond memories of Uncle Harlon come to mind. I will always treasure my last telephone visit with him. We loved him and will miss him forever.
